@EsaPaulasto yes 2 stops difference as 2^2 * 1/^1600 = 1/400

Also, would be more answerable if he/she asked for specific functions and how they worked.

The answer is as follows: 1) Download source code from repo, or browse online github.com/Itseez/opencv 2) Trying to review the whole code is stupid. It's a library! Finding specific functions is quite easy and many functions are sensibly to read (knowing C/C++).
