i vastly prefer Calendar.app on macOS/iOS to the Google native apps, but this has my iMac busted. :(

Anyone else stuck in a loop on macOS being asked for your Google account password, having Sys Prefs tell you it needs you to enter the password in Safari and then it opens Safari and...nothing? Doesn't load a Google Auth page or anything? This is kind of maddening.

and they didn't announce a keyboard with a touch sensor. that's something i really want for my iMac. don't care about the bar, but that touch sensor is awesome.

sigh. so underwhelmed by the phones. i'll probably get a new watch though. my series 2 has felt sluggish from the get-go.

can't wait to try iOS 12.

what's the current recommendation for USBC drives to use for Time Machine on new iMacs? anyone got a favorite they want to recommend?

ugh. WD USB3 drive is fubar. on the wife's windows machine it's reporting SMART errors. can't format it with the WD Utilities program there. joy. that is the sound of money being flushed.

i think i'm going to quit computers :/

currently trying to format it with the WD Drive Utilities tool, which could see it, but it's taking a loooooooooooooooong time. which is weird for a brand new, essentially empty drive.

i can see it on the USB bus but not in diskutil. this is...maddening.

@bmike out of the frying pan, into the fire. the iMac won't recognize the 6TB WD My Book USB3 drive I bought. :(

yea, i always viewed the TM drive as slightly ancillary. if i lost it it's not the end of the world because i can rebuild it. probability of losing both the TM drive and the internal drive at the same time seems low enough that i was willing to gamble on it. :D
