so should i make that unallocated space in to a partition ?

hey, i have a doubt, if i have a new system which has ubuntu installed(lets call this system 1) and another system which has ubuntu but all my files like IDE, java, ruby installed(lets call this system 2) if i copy the home folder from system 2 n place it in system 1, will i be able to use all the IDE and other programming langugaes ?
