Sep 4, 2019 14:51
Damn the intel list is long, need to check prices
Sep 4, 2019 14:51
But then I don't have one to try
Sep 4, 2019 14:50
I wonder if lspci will work on it :P
Sep 4, 2019 14:49
Do they 4x4 client cards
Sep 4, 2019 14:49
Those things are damn fast
Sep 4, 2019 14:49
What do macs use?
Sep 4, 2019 14:48
Ah yes the dreaded firmware lock :(
Sep 4, 2019 14:47
ooh they have wifi 6 cards
Sep 4, 2019 14:47
Damn they have way too many models.
Sep 4, 2019 14:47
Ah yes 01.org
Sep 4, 2019 14:45
@JourneymanGeek What's a good WiFi network card for Linux machines?
May 25, 2019 06:36
@JourneymanGeek ah okay :(
May 24, 2019 14:55
@JourneymanGeek what's the best place to get laptop in SG? Is going to a physical store better?
Jan 3, 2019 13:52
@rahuldottech Good, what are you upto these days, have you graduated?
Jan 3, 2019 13:52
@allquixotic I think it's from here :D bsdnow.tv/episodes/2015_11_23-the_cantrill_strikes_back
Jan 3, 2019 07:16
@rahuldottech Hi rahul! been busy. How are you?
Jan 2, 2019 18:22
Most CNI implementations run damn BGP for keeping track of the pods.
Jan 2, 2019 18:19
I have lost track of the number of fixes that have come out for it
Jan 2, 2019 18:19
lol
Jan 2, 2019 18:16
cilium allows you to add l7 firewall rules to the damn kernel
Jan 2, 2019 18:16
Jan 2, 2019 18:16
@allquixotic ah interesting. Redhat recently aquired the CoreOS team as well, and they have rkt if I am not mistaken
Jan 2, 2019 18:14
Looks pretty exiciting
Jan 2, 2019 18:14
Have you been looking at cilium and bpf
Jan 2, 2019 18:13
The number of docker clones is staggering
Jan 2, 2019 18:13
If there's a CNI interface for it, it should be easy
Jan 2, 2019 18:12
Unfortunately there is no managed openshift yet.
Jan 2, 2019 18:12
But then they do simplify a lot of things for the end user I guess
Jan 2, 2019 18:12
:D Yeah the complexity of kubernetes is staggering. The network stack is just terribly hard to debug.
Jan 2, 2019 18:09
I haven't been all too active here either. Moved to my second job(and city) and been fairly busy getting the cloud side of things set up on OpenShift. I wrote some things in golang but haven't been programming as much as I would like. But running kubernetes has given me more insight to the linux kernel and network stack so yay.
Jan 2, 2019 18:06
But then the current state of that ecosystem is impressive. I was recently looking at three.js and I was pretty mindblown by the state of things.
Jan 2, 2019 18:06
Nice, you too have fallen to the JS wave.
Jan 2, 2019 18:01
:D
Jan 2, 2019 18:01
Also how you been @allquixotic it's been a loooong time
Jan 2, 2019 17:59
Please do!
Jan 2, 2019 17:58
memory is probably set a low oom score and pray it doesn't get killed :|
Jan 2, 2019 17:58
And fs is just one part of it, have to deal with memory cpu and inodes
Jan 2, 2019 17:56
Interesting
Jan 2, 2019 17:54
We are basically them + ROS based robots
Jan 2, 2019 17:54
Jan 2, 2019 17:54
oh wait they changed their name again
Jan 2, 2019 17:53
@allquixotic This is exactly what resin does
Jan 2, 2019 17:53
We are going public this march, whew have to get this into management by then
Jan 2, 2019 17:52
And probably draft a better Service agreement to include these
Jan 2, 2019 17:52
That is true, will have to work more on pushing back these deals.
Jan 2, 2019 17:49
Also we do try hard to not let customers use ras pis, but nope, it's cheap and it works :(
Jan 2, 2019 17:49
@allquixotic that we could do, but with the fixed sizing requirements, just pre allocating a block should save me the trouble of writing one more process
Jan 2, 2019 17:47
but then that's business BS generator
Jan 2, 2019 17:47
Which is sorta a selling point of our stack of sorts I suppose
