People, are (un?) fortunately fundamentally irrational creatures adept at self-denial. This killer question will die at the hands of ignoring/misinterpreting said question. You'll get a lot of "That's an interesting question" and then everyone just continues with their lives. Now if the question starts an ideological war instead...

Anyway, I have to get going. Thanks for everything.
Feb 26, 2018 14:29
Wow. Glad it's fixed.
Feb 26, 2018 14:28
oh I'm sure. I've read through some code older than I am. It's not great.
Feb 26, 2018 14:27
A: I atoned and learned from my past coding sins.
Feb 26, 2018 14:26
Q: How did you get to write modular code?
Feb 26, 2018 14:26
haha. Even at this point in my career that's true.
Feb 26, 2018 14:23
I appreciate all the help.
Feb 26, 2018 14:23
I'll remove more of the fluff and then start researching cover letters.
Feb 26, 2018 14:22
Ok that makes sense.
Feb 26, 2018 14:21
If I can't submit a cover letter (don't know what the application allows to be submitted), what other options do I have to show the soft skills?
Feb 26, 2018 14:19
Ok I can do that.
Feb 26, 2018 14:17
Hmm. A lot of the examples I've seen have this summary information.
Feb 26, 2018 14:16
Or just be more specific in the qualifications?
Feb 26, 2018 14:15
Right. So maybe include an example in the work section?
Feb 26, 2018 14:13
sure
Feb 26, 2018 14:10
Feb 26, 2018 14:07
Greetings. I overhauled my resume. Do you guys have time for another glance?
Feb 23, 2018 14:33
Will do. Bye.
Feb 23, 2018 14:30
Anyway, maybe you will see me again in a few days. With a new an improved resume.
Feb 23, 2018 14:30
I appreciate the honesty. It's very helpful. If I don't know what's wrong (and how badly wrong), it's hard to improve.
Feb 23, 2018 14:27
Ok thanks. I appreciate all your advice.
Feb 23, 2018 14:26
Ok cool. Thanks for all the feedback. After my next attempt, would y'all be fine seeing the (hopefully improved) resume?
Feb 23, 2018 14:24
Yes.
Feb 23, 2018 14:23
For the position I'm applying for, the things I worked on for my internship aren't very relevant. Should I just leave it off? Or is it still useful to note, since it's my only other work experience?
Feb 23, 2018 14:20
@RichardU Ah, I was missing the "technical" part of my resume searching.
Feb 23, 2018 14:19
Should I cut the Projects section and use those specific example in Work Experience?
Feb 23, 2018 14:18
@Draken I can research "official" capitalization rules for the tech. Or should I just stick to making them consistent, even if it's not "official"?
Feb 23, 2018 14:16
Please
Feb 23, 2018 13:56
Is it ok to just list a bunch of proficiencies? Is distinguishing between things that I feel I'm almost an expert in from things that I'm just ok with make sense?
Feb 23, 2018 13:54
My resume. I have specific concerns on my Skills and Projects sections.
Feb 23, 2018 13:44
Does anyone have time to review my resume? I have a few concerns on some of the sections.
Feb 23, 2018 01:31
Do you guys do resume reviews or know somewhere I can get one? I haven't written one or updated my other ones in a while.

makes sense to me. Unless you're a gambler better on race horses.
Oct 2, 2015 15:01
as ponies?
Oct 2, 2015 14:59
Awesome. Thanks guys.
Oct 2, 2015 14:58
Ooh that question title sounds promising
Oct 2, 2015 14:57
@Simon yeah I suppose it was just a moment of developer paranoia
Oct 2, 2015 14:53
Just some random 100kB file
Oct 2, 2015 14:52
The only thing that happened was the file was downloaded as Unconfirmed 158006.crdownload
Oct 2, 2015 14:52
Yes
Oct 2, 2015 14:51
Or should I simplify it down to what we discussed just now?
Oct 2, 2015 14:51
cool. So would the question I have be on-topic as is?
Oct 2, 2015 14:49
Or (more specific to .zip files) when extracting/using files
Oct 2, 2015 14:49
Or if it only becomes a risk when I rename it with an extension
Oct 2, 2015 14:48
I'm the most concerned with knowing if the download itself is a risk
Oct 2, 2015 14:48
So if I simplified my question
Oct 2, 2015 14:48
true
Oct 2, 2015 14:45
I was working in a plunker (an online HTML javascript demo-hosting site), and I wanted to download my work as a .zip file. I took the following actions:

1. Tried to download my work in a .zip file.
2. Chrome raised an alert in my download bar saying that the .zip file "may harm [my] browsing experience, so Chrome has block it."
3. I noticed that a file called `Unconfirmed 158006.crdownload` was actually added in my Downloads folder.
4. I renamed the file with a .zip extension (since I was expecting one)

I mean here in chat?
