@AzorAhai--hehim if you agree to it and there is consideration for you in the deal then yes it's enforceable. I only sign agreements about ownership that scope to company resources/equipment/time. Anything broader is crazy, and no different than trying to come after you for money after 10 years because maybe you learned a new skill while working for them.

@crobar You're fixating too much on the cause of the loss of work. Nzall makes a perfectly valid point that this isn't a Windows 10 issue at it's core. It's a user issue. Other operating systems can crash. The program can crash. There are far more things out of your control than Windows updates.

A point that I haven't seen anyone touch on yet is the issues arising from having a double NAT situation when someone plugs in their own router. This goes beyond just using WiFi, but depending on how your are setting up your own network, and how the network security is handled by the university, you could be bypassing certain security measures by running your own network.

@vsz I think they're equating keeping the parking permit visible at rest to the lawful obligation in many states to reasonably attempt keep your license plate visible while operating your vehicle. Of course, it's easy enough to assume that since you don't have to keep your plate clean when parked that you wouldn't need to do the same for a permit.

In Quake 3 Arena, if you spectated the highest difficulty of the final opponent he aimed at your before he even saw you. I always considered that the "perfect" AI for a FPS.

I think it's worth pointing out, for anyone who might claim this is the slipper slope fallacy, that a situation that allows legal precedence like punishing non-criminals to be created does indeed allow a slippery slope scenario to happen.
