Wasn't hard, I just had to learn some tools I wasn't used to.

I'm figuring out how to fix it, I just forgot that inkscape outputted a transparent background

What do you guys think of this for a logo?

I wasn't necessarily trying to get a perfect copy, but that's the spirit of it

(btw, that's an awesome jazz fusion song if you've never heard it before)

The lead synth is more pure with a softer attack, but the way it glides is pretty similar

Actually, a lot of the instruments were panned pretty far to one ear with reverb hard panned to the other ear. The drums had less reverb so that might be a part of it...

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. All the cymbals are hard panned right.

@gandalf3 I can here the similarities. I used some pretty similar sounds.

@gandalf3 I'm guessing it just feels off balance? I did that because my panning felt off balance at one point. I should probably have it start in mono until more instruments come in. Thanks for pointing that out.

The xylophone properties get a bit lost, but the basis of the shapes is pretty similar

@curious idk, those are super common percussion instruments that I play frequently, but I also make some electronic music, so the logo would also represent me in those cases as well.

It would be use (simplified) as a profile pic, and potentially large scale in videos and album covers

Sorry, I'm a musician (primarily a percussionist) and I want something to represent myself
