That's an option. See, speeds up there are not necessarily extremely necessary - we're just looking for half decent coverage to do the occasional netflix, etc.

@bwDraco A fair idea. Although I'm not sure I'm quite ready to drop a minimum of $500 on a router currently - only issue.

Hi everyone, been a bit, so hope all the familiar faces are doing well. Currently looking into some routing upgrading - as much as I'd love to do an elaborate setup in my parents home with a few access points, it isn't quite feasible at this time. Spent a bit re-positioning an Archer C7 around the home in a few spots to see how coverage varied. Currently found a nice spot, but it's JUST pushing the range to the bedrooms. Was wondering if simply upgrading to a better unit (AC2900 or so)

Anyone know any good wifi analyzer utilities? My internet is rough and I live in a basement apartment. Using landlords connection and unsure of where it is, wanted to try and point my antennas to the strongest direction in the hopes of slightly improving it

@JourneymanGeek Just tried acrylic.. It improved it a bit playing around. I actually have no idea where the actual hub is, I live in the basement. Internet is part of my rent and the download speed is good, just connection seems to be a bit all over the map.

Hi guys - anyone know if I can reset an iPad while it has low charge? Was given one by someone and it was completely dead. It's up to 5% currently but I wanted to get a move on resetting it. Is it possible to do while the charge is low but plugged into a wall? Or should I wait a bit?
