May 21, 2015 18:41

May 21, 2015 18:40
I used "shutdown" in the win7 install CD, now I get to the bios!
May 21, 2015 18:40

May 21, 2015 18:38

May 21, 2015 18:38

May 21, 2015 18:36

May 21, 2015 18:36

May 21, 2015 18:20

May 21, 2015 18:20

May 21, 2015 18:17
going to try that first
May 21, 2015 18:17
but google says f2
May 21, 2015 18:17
I think its f10/f12
May 21, 2015 18:16
I can tap like crazy to get to the startup menu / f8
May 21, 2015 18:16
@Hennes thanks, that actually seems to be like a sane option here
May 21, 2015 18:14
because the system is resuming to the broken fking os
May 21, 2015 18:14
I cannot
May 21, 2015 18:14
I cannot go to BIOS
May 21, 2015 18:12
and system is resuming to broken OS
May 21, 2015 18:12
I cannot boot from new install media
May 21, 2015 18:12
I don't know what mode is enabled and what is not
May 21, 2015 18:09
I do not have that option
May 21, 2015 18:09
as I said, my laptop does "System restoring" to the broken os
May 21, 2015 18:09
I have never been asked any boot paths
May 21, 2015 18:08
but if I choose DVD from that, it boots from the disk anyway
May 21, 2015 18:08
Yes, I can get the original bios boot menu working
May 21, 2015 18:07
current OS thats dead is Win10 early tech preview thats expired
May 21, 2015 18:07
DVD I tried was win7 home pre
May 21, 2015 18:07
what are my options
May 21, 2015 18:07
so I am unable to bootup from the CD and my primary OS is dead
May 21, 2015 18:06
allright
May 21, 2015 18:05
hmmr
May 21, 2015 18:04
Whats the "feature" of UEFI, other than making life harder?
May 21, 2015 18:03
so I need to find a install media that understands UEFI?
May 21, 2015 18:03
win7 DVD is not working at least
May 21, 2015 18:02
because the system is resuming
May 21, 2015 18:02
I cannot go into the BIOS
May 21, 2015 18:02
*should
May 21, 2015 18:02
so I would find my win10 install cd and use that?
May 21, 2015 17:59
great..
May 21, 2015 17:58
aand choosing dvd from the boot options starts the broken win10...
May 21, 2015 17:58
iits something like 5 years ~~
May 21, 2015 17:57
however I esced out of it
May 21, 2015 17:56
I get the screen of boot options
May 21, 2015 17:56
however, if I mash esc,f8,f10,f12 and delete
May 21, 2015 17:56
yeh
May 21, 2015 17:56
well not sure about that but bricking my laptop because of the "resuming system without confirmation" is a bit annoying
May 21, 2015 17:53
One option I came up with is to remove the HD and clean the win10 installation from it, but yeah... Is there some way to prevent the BIOS from resuming to broken install?
May 21, 2015 17:52
Samsung laptop
May 21, 2015 17:52
and I am unable to start from CD because the laptop is resuming automatically to the broken OS.
