Is ok post in a new account if want keep anonymity. Im curious What the handbook said? and What your manager said about this rule? And you didn't do anything wrong, you are a compasive human being. If a handbook said you have to be a asshole and your manager agree with that interpretation is time to find a new job

@RichardU Looks like we have to agree on disagree. Because even when I dont think is OP fault I think there are room for improvement and a lesson to learn here. Is great OP have good game skills and we can encourage to purse them. But for this case was obviusly too much.

@RichardU Because if the tool is only answer the same question over and over wont be that fun. And I have play games where have to answer some simple selection question and at the end I just write the answer so next time get perfect scores. And people are using the tool for the game not for learning the content.

Well looks like you make a game not a trainning tool. What is the flash game about? Becasue I doubt I will enter the trainning app to answer the same questions over and over. Easy fix add a cooldown to the tool or dont allow enter after completation.

If he using number instead of columns name, he is a bad programmer. That make is short but isnt readable and make it harder to maintain.

I feel this event should be outside of working hours if company do this outside working hours and make it mandatory then people will complain because they need go to pickup children, do groceries, go to night school. And then also would need to pay overtime. So doing during work hours remove all those issues because employees are supose to be there anyway.

@LightnessRacesinOrbit I dont think is sad, because isnt like I dont talk to people, just dont enjoy parties. The same I dont like drink alcohol or dancing or bitter chocolate. Of course would be easier if I were like everyone else. But trying to be someone Im not just to please a few people was what make me sad.

@LightnessRacesinOrbit Show to work isnt the problem. Be at the party doing nothing just to show you are there is the nonsense part. If you try to force someone like that you may have a Marshawn Lynch moment at that party youtube.com/watch?v=G1kvwXsZtU8 . Now I dont know what other think about me not going to the anual party, they ask about it the first couple of times and hasnt been a topic since.

@JoeStrazzere i wouldnt recomend it either. I rather use one of my day off. But if OP doesnt have any days left as I can read from the question will you force someone to be there if they dont want to? In my case I did the effort and went to the first christmas party but situation were to awkward and hasnt been again on 15 years

@SaggingRufus regarding 3) just because you dont see a reason doesnt mean there isnt one. I also dont like to go to those party because I get really bored. I dont drink, dont dance and very selective with the food. I can do the effort to be there but is tiring and then get me in a bad mood. So is very downside from there

@O.R.Mapper My point is some jobs are open to non native speakers and they dont require know the lenguaje as long as you are fluent in english. And that seem to be the case from on OP comment And that is something you can address with your Manager. Of course if the job doesn't advertise like that is up to you to improve the lenguaje to perform the job.

That is the problem with those task. For example I don't remember the last time I did permutations. I know was for a puzzle game I was designing like 5 years ago. If you ask me right now I can't tell you the difference between permutation and combination without google it (I know order matter). But that doesnt mean I cant do the game again.

You didn't explain how you found the exact copy so not sure how bad is the fault here. For example when I answer a questions regarding sql pivot, I copy paste the example from Microsoft manual and do the name changes to match the question. When is a question where I need calculate row_number() in my sql also have a example ready where only have to change table names and fields.

@DarrenH The problem is you can't force your wishes on some one else. For example I cant force someone to quit smoking. But I can make it stop from smoking on closed area because there is a law for that. If I'm recording a video on the street a someone tell me to delete the footage because he walk in front of the camera and don't want be on the video I will laugh at him.

You should check your local laws. The usual norm is you can be record it without out permission if you dont have expectation of privacy. For example is ok if I record you walking on the street, but not if you are in your home.

@enderland The problem is developer are very often deaf to suggestion :(. In a particular a game I'm playing the chat have very annoying censorship, even some of the monster name in the game are censored. But user can use spam bots to advertise illegal account selling.

I'm confused, You want more work but don't want document your current automated process so no one can do your current job? What is your main goal with this question? You want news challenges but still want your boss feel you are the only one able to solve the automated process?

Because the storeproc is beign call proc(0,30) and then proc(30,60) so 30 is executed twice so if I put -1, {0,29} will work, but I will miss the last in {90,99}

SELECT avl_db.process_route(@route_source) is a function and receive an array. var p = new NpgsqlParameter("@route_source", NpgsqlDbType.Array | NpgsqlDbType.Bigint); I can change it to int, but then I have to call that function 1000 times instead 10 times with 100 length array

Looks very good I will try it. but this line local.Command.Parameters["@route_source"].Value = route_pending[i]; looks like overwrite the value instead of add it to the array?
