If you have checked in a bag, the plane won't leave without you. The airplane will generally wait for you to board as the option would be to empty all the bags out to find your bag to throw it off.

If you have some multivariate polynomial ring over a field with N variables, would any polynomial that is symmetric in M<N of the variables be in the ideal generated by the polynomials that are symmetric in all N variables?

If X is finite, and A is a subset of X, is A cofinite? Or is cofiniteness only defined for infinite sets?
