@PieBie Oh. I hope you get well.

This will pass in history of this website as the laziest post ever.

Hi everyone. I posted a question on software recommendations. Can you take a look and see if you know such a program?

Oh...

Thanks :o)
Feb 20, 2021 04:07
Guys, one question. What happened to Danielillo? I remember that was a very active user but I have not seen any post for more than a year or even find his profile. Did he changed the name or deleted the account?
Dec 31, 2020 19:24
Well, guys, Happy New year!
Jul 4, 2018 13:27
Offtopic guys. How These StackExchange sites participate in this kind of protests against the legislation: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/European_Parliament_vote_in_2018?
This affects everyone.
Jun 19, 2018 17:53
Guys... did Scott removed his profile?
Mar 15, 2018 01:13
Hi guys. Thanks for the image. I was preparing another in english and without trademarks :o)

@Ryan Oh. Ty Ryan.

@Vincent I think those question is not only for a tutorial "Click here and click there" It can also be answered as #That is a type of screening" etc. But that is just my opinion.
Sep 8, 2017 19:49
Offtopic. Hi Vincent. I think you are closing down some posts too fast when they appear "to board" Like this one. https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/98057/how-to-create-such-an-artwork-effect It turned out to have a "duplicate" https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/84987/how-to-do-line-optical-illusion-art-effects as posted in the comments by user287001 and a possible software based solution as jhurley posted too.

So, in my opinion, wait a bit before closing a post, probably wait for the votes or wait to see what an answer say.

Hi everyone. I found an interesting video about spectrometry. youtu.be/LxQmaJYMOAk?si=VQ8FmeUhHiKb90Pd
Oct 15, 2021 00:32
Ok Ty.
Oct 14, 2021 11:45
Hi guys. Is it just me or the answers are not sorted correctly? The answer with more votes is supposed to go up, but in some cases, they are sorted probably by date. For example in the photo competition. photo.stackexchange.com/questions/126354/…

Guys, Happy New Year!

It is potentially an interesting question to explore if you put specific examples. I have seen thousands, and thousands of "Digital art", so complex that would be incredibly difficult to animate. One simple "frame" involves dozens and a dozen of hours of work. So. If you focus the question on specific examples, the question might work. I am sure it is not only a matter of "there is a white space next to the black line"

Oct 2, 2019 15:56
Ok Guys, time to leave, see you next wensday.
Oct 2, 2019 15:55
Ismael, let us prepare one question, like: How a color design is prepared to be printed on an already colored paper? or something like that.
Oct 2, 2019 15:54
And probably a color profile issue.
Oct 2, 2019 15:53
Yeap it is a tray issue.
Oct 2, 2019 15:53
In any case the red circle on the example will NEVER happen, it could be a Color profile like stuff, where values are adapted, not overall changed. That is part of the original design, you can simulate things using different blending modes. Some examples: google.com.mx/… But they musht be prepared as such.
Oct 2, 2019 15:50
I took a quick look at the PDF you linked. It seems that is a menu to choose something like paper tray. Let me see if the printer actually adjust a bit the colors depending on the whiteness or something... But I doubt it.
Oct 2, 2019 15:48
Ismael, ask a proper question on the forum, and with more time some good answers can be prepared. :o)
Oct 2, 2019 15:44
There are different printing systems where you can actually put a white additional "ink"
Oct 2, 2019 15:43
But no CMYK printer does that. The inks are transparent.
Oct 2, 2019 15:43
Some inks, which are in fact not inks but paints, are meant to cover the underlying color.
Oct 2, 2019 15:42
But they are asumed as no ink. The results vary depending on how transparent the inks are.
Oct 2, 2019 15:42
There are papers that are branded as more white than others, but you can use a metalic "paper", or you can use different things, normally called sustrates.
Oct 2, 2019 15:41
But of course you can use a textured paper, a color paper.
Oct 2, 2019 15:40
Ismael, no ink does not mean white color, it means no ink. It is assumed that the base is white.
Oct 2, 2019 15:39
Ill be here for some minutes :o)
Oct 2, 2019 15:39
Such printer, to my knoledge does not exist.
Oct 2, 2019 15:38
Ismael, can you post a link to a printer that does that?
Oct 2, 2019 15:38
Hi Billy.
Oct 2, 2019 15:37
The printer has no idea if you put a white paper, or the paper is just a brown bag, or if you already printed the photo of a cat. So yes, if the paper is red, it will simply print the ink programed to be printed.

Nov 22, 2018 11:07
I just want to state that I think this is a great question, for the times we live in.

@GregRoelofs Thank you for joining!
Apr 19, 2018 20:01
One of the programs tested (now 10) is Indesign, and it actually uses the PPI information. That is more important than if Photoshop uses it or not while sending a file to print. IMHO.
Apr 19, 2018 19:52
I only use PhotoItIsNotMyMainAplicationShop about 10% of the time, so. That is very specific issue that is probably not my priority because I never send anything to print directly from it.
Apr 19, 2018 19:50
I am leaving PhotoOhMyGod..Shop behind. For now I am only worried about "Can PNG include officially PPI information?"
Apr 19, 2018 19:44
I sent him an email asking "Can PNG include officially PPI information?" When he answers me I will inform you guys n_n
Apr 19, 2018 19:27
Greg Roelofs is the guy that mantains the oficial (but really old) PNG page. w3.org/Graphics/PNG If you can put layers, editable text, rulers, etc. and he says that it is still is a PNG compliant file I think you can probably, just probably add ppi info on it.
Apr 19, 2018 19:27
I am still testing on diferent aplications. 8 so far, each and every one reads the ppi settings...
Apr 19, 2018 19:27
The standard is open so you can implement whatever you need and it still complies with the standard. Remember that Fireworks used a weird Frankenstein PNG format? It had layers, it had editable text... I asked Greg Roelofs about that file format and told me. "Yeap it is still a PNG file." Photoshop is not the only application that reads the PPI settings... I tested in different applications and they all read it.
Apr 19, 2018 19:27
PNG can have pixels per inch. Here are two images, 1 has 150 ppi and the other has 300 ppi, you can see that in Phothosop > Image > Image size 150ppi: i.stack.imgur.com/xOJBH.png 300ppi: i.stack.imgur.com/B8kek.png
