@Rep well, you already got an answer and it's very long and completely alternative thing to yours. That means there's too much room for various answers, especially because you weren't clear about what you really wanted.
Jul 1 14:04
BTW don't pester me like that It's too broad/unclear - end of story. And it's not like I closed it singlehandedly.

It links 'hot network questions'

@Rep yes
Jun 30 22:32
@NickAlexeev Yeah, my bad, but if it was only slightly on the surface...
Jun 30 18:04
CH3 should be easier to substitute than oxidise
Jun 30 18:03
@NickAlexeev maybe even a bit of basic hydrolysis would work

@DrMoishePippik Well, you could stay logged.

@Mayo Oh, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frost_diagram this one? My bad too I guess, it should be rather called Frost circle to avoid confusion.

Q: What is the purpose of calculating other orbitals than HOMO and LUMO?

SparklerIn this video of benzene orbitals, a lot of different orbitals are presented. Even orbitals that, I assume, could never be occupied. What is the purpose of calculating all these orbitals? Isn't all the chemical information needed (bonding, reactions) coming from the HOMO and LUMO (FMO theory)? H...

Q: How does a Frost diagram reproduce the solutions to the wave equation?

DissenterI came across a Frost diagram for cyclic compounds in my book, and all my book had to offer was that it geometrically reproduces the solutions of the wave equation, and can therefore determine the relative energies of each pi molecular orbital. How, exactly, does a Frost diagram work? My book w...

May 27 13:19
@Mayo well, maybe find out what Frost diagram is before thinking that @Cuckoo is a complete noob?
May 22 11:51
@CuckooBeats sounds like it was you on vacation ;)
May 19 22:27
@Hotnitricacid(HNQ) Why does Hot nitric work like that now, some reprogramming?
May 18 20:56
@user430580 It's quite difficult to get burning steam in fluorine, afair, but quite a lot of things may combust violently.
May 17 22:39
@Hotnitricacid(HNQ) Really? This stupid misunderstanding got to HNQ?
May 16 18:43
@Poutnik We got 10 questions in 3 h - get you're CVs ready ;)
May 16 18:39
@Adhway No, you aren't right. And the guy who "invented" this "excitation" in hybridisation might be lucky terminators travelling back in time ain't real too, or he'd be a prime target ;>
May 16 00:39
@user430580 Suggested edits are different than revisions, one needs to earn this 2 rep. and don't bother reviewers with insignificant edits. It's not like Sarah's gonna make them here anytime soon, being banned for a year...

@Poutnik Heh, Sanderson first called Elantris 'Adonis', only after someone pointed it's a myth guy...

@LordOfMordor Not sure if I should rejoice you got a Tolkien nick, or worry you're named after Sauron ;)
Apr 20 15:59
@CuckooBeats Well, I kinda spend too much time here.
Apr 20 13:29
I could at least use some vacation
Apr 20 13:28
@CuckooBeats Well, he did so much, especially on meta, maybe it was a good occasion to step back.

Jul 1 15:50
@Mayo you should be able to see them here chemistry.stackexchange.com/users/deleted-questions/167794
Jul 1 15:32
@Rep ask Poutnik
Jul 1 15:31
@Rep Is not so easy when my head hurts
Jul 1 15:21
And now one for me even though I posted here.
Jul 1 15:20
@Mayo And maybe don't make so many rooms. Poutnik's little place is one step from freezing while you made like half a dozen for the two of you.
Jul 1 15:14
@Mayo I think they were deleted by mod, so suck it, but in case you were tempted to do it yourself... better don't.
Jul 1 13:57
So... be careful
Jul 1 13:56
BTW looks like some of your q. got deleted. If there was too many in a short time there's some dumb script that could ban you from asking more :(
Jul 1 13:53
QM is mostly relevant as far as quantum chemistry is concerned
Jul 1 13:52
@Mayo You can flag a question to be migrated by a mod.

Jun 11 20:01
Either way things are under control.
Jun 11 20:00
@MartinSleziak Well, you saved the room ;p I think it getting frozen and thawing next spring is most likely scenario. Or maybe this new room makes it obsolete...
May 29 00:06
@MartinSleziak No, thanks for reminder, I just think we got it under control :)
May 27 13:37
@MartinSleziak This room already go quite a bit of this treatment in the past. One could say it's getting periodic ;)
