@Dan What @Jasper says is correct. And should be taken into consideration with my comment. German and Dutch are simulair on a lot of ways. And I think, with any language dialect also plays a huge part in how understandable somebody is. People who live in Limburg(Dutch province) are very difficult to understand because of their dialect and accent. Although they speak "regular" dutch.
For me, I can understand your soundcloud somewhat. I understand certain Keywords and know what they are talking about but I couldn't translate word for word. The female is harder to understand tho

@Dan Depends on the region in my experience. I live on the west coast in a small town which gets flooded by German(and other) tourists. The people here aren't really fond of the German tourists since in our experience they are hard stuck in trying to converse in German. I think because they know German is taught in the Netherlands but not many people are fluent in it. All that being said. If you are doing your best to talk Dutch people will be patience. But don't be surprised when they correct(help) you when you are talking.
