All very well that FP addition is hard, but surely a fused-multiply-add is strictly harder than either an addition or a multiplication and Haswell can pull off two of those per cycle

@ChrisPowell there is a tradition of writing GB (etc) when actually using the binary scale, in that sense it is common to use GBs when talking about a RAM size. But that's quite something different than actually using GBs.

@ChrisPowell there is no conversion. RAM sticks don't come in power of ten sizes, the actual size was already 8GiB to begin with.
