Seems you are going in a circle @pbhj
Jun 14, 2018 12:48
... ah well ... welliboots and splashing in the puddles is good fun as well
Jun 14, 2018 12:46
@JacobVlijm that was me that deleted the comment ... and yes it was because it was in the first sentence ... time to look at the weather app and see if a bit of sunbathing will get you out from the front of the computer ;)
Jun 14, 2018 12:41
@pbhj - its off topic with this sub reason "This describes a problem that can't be reproduced, that seemingly went away on its own or was only relevant to a very specific period of time. It's off-topic as it's unlikely to help future readers. "
Jun 14, 2018 12:32
bot doesn't have the concept of what is good or bad to bump - that is for the community to decide @pbhj. So if you have close votes - throw a close vote. Otherwise ask nicely here and maybe people with enough fire power will agree/disagree.

May 1, 2018 15:20
huh?
May 1, 2018 15:16
sounds like a bug @Rinzwind
May 1, 2018 12:55
if its needed @SebastianStark then just ask for the interface to be defined. Then a snap can make use of stuff like that.
May 1, 2018 12:53
for example the home folder can be written to.
May 1, 2018 12:53
@Fabby as long as the interface is defined - yes a snap can write outside of its own snap
May 1, 2018 12:47
@cl-netbox pretty good release. I'm eager to see the 18.10 repositories open for development. Need to backport fixes into 18.04 for tiny issues found.
May 1, 2018 12:44
@cl-netbox ... didn't you know ... container based apps are the future (!). Apparently the new chrome os runs container based linux apps
May 1, 2018 12:21
odd question ...kind of opinion based
Apr 26, 2018 11:19
@Videonauth trust me ... the announcement is not imminent.
Apr 19, 2018 14:34
deserving of peoples voting power
Apr 19, 2018 14:34

Apr 19, 2018 14:32

@anonymous2 no general policy
Apr 19, 2018 13:00

Apr 19, 2018 12:59

Apr 19, 2018 11:30
@DavidFoerster I double checked this morning and the skype linux package was no longer in the partners repo ... but I'll triple check later today
Jan 12, 2018 11:25
@ByteCommander feeling old ?!
Jan 5, 2018 15:18
@Rinzwind ... or "we aren't that daft" ... !
Jan 5, 2018 14:00
"why do we use linux ... because we can"
Jan 5, 2018 13:41
@MayankSharma doubtful that you can - kernels just like applications are compiled for the distro and the toolchain that distro uses. Why do you want to use such an old kernel on ubuntu?
Jan 3, 2018 12:40
omgubuntu - the header of that article is "speculation" - rather than fact
Jan 3, 2018 12:28
too early in the cycle
Jan 3, 2018 12:28
no final decisions on wayland vs xorg yet
Jan 3, 2018 10:57
worth is an elastic term - depends what you want out of an operating system. if 16.04 is stable for you, do you really need the latest and greatest (with bugs)?
Jan 3, 2018 10:53
@vidarlo odd question.
Nov 1, 2017 19:43
hearing far too much about a certain person in a house painted in white ... but apart from that ... life in Ubuntu Budgie land is hectic.
Nov 1, 2017 19:42
@Seth hi - hope all is well with you
Nov 1, 2017 19:39
strange conversation ^^^

Oct 23, 2017 12:29
@solsTiCe would be a good question for the site
Oct 23, 2017 12:15
wayland isn't actually a "thing" - its a "language" - you use the language to express what you want to visualise
Oct 23, 2017 12:13
17.10 runs mutter - which is a compositor - and it also supports the wayland protocol
Oct 23, 2017 12:12
@solsTiCe weston is a compositor demonstrating the wayland protocol

@user245903 remember this is a Q&A site. When someone asks a question or provides a comment you should edit your question with a summary of the question and with a response. It is very difficult to read through a long list of comments. Please can you summarise the various comments here in your question, raise a flag and then we can clean up by deleting all of these comments. many thanks.
