@a4android while I admit to being American with all the biases and problems associated with that, I am aware that minorities which are not discriminated against exist. I'm simply not asking about them, I believe my question says this, sorry if it wasn't clear.

@fredsbend this is why I avoided mentioning magic in the first place. People always assume about my magic system. I'll handle the discrimination stemming from the magic system either myself or in another question. I'd like to focus on any "generic" features here.

@L.Dutch Sorry I meant more that they were everywhere, even if the majority is different. A bit like Jews on Earth I guess (which does give me some ideas).

My recent question (https://worldbuilding.stackexchange.com/questions/82513/genetic-structure-of-a-trait-with-six-discrete-phenotypes) about genetics is how I'm handling people of different guilds producing children. The kid will inherit a "magic" gene from her parents, so someone usually has their parent's guild, but recessive genes can occasionally come out.
I have Sehran highly limited because it is fairly powerful (their magic covers board categories, I'm honestly not sure any other guild could beat a Sehran with access to a full orchard, but having the limitation opens up vectors of at…

@MonicaCellio Thanks for the comments! The whole idea of how guilds work has evolved a little, so hopefully that hasn't been too confusing.
Ability is innate, but many techniques have to be learned. Just as everyone has the innate ability to make sounds, but needs to learn language.

@HDE One thing that would help me would be to create a github repository so I could checkout your code and run it, and see the results without having to type it all in and setup up a project (even as easy as that is in python)

So on further thought and remembrances on how I did my original map, I remember that I would basically be re-writing this tutorial, maybe with the additions of how to do mountains. (cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?t=1142) Do you guys think there's value in me sort-of re-writing it (with credit of course) to a slightly simpler version on Universe Factory

So I'm thinking about writing a general overview on how to create a fantasy map. Honestly it would mostly be links to other tutorials with some suggestions on how to tie it all together, but the goal would be to allow new people to whip up a decent looking map quickly

Guys, stop critizing the world. That's not what the OP is after. They have a reasonable question, which has already received one pretty good answer. Not every species in worldbuilding has to evolve, and the OP wasn't asking about the feasibility of his idea in a biological sense.

This is going to depend primarily on your world. What kind of society do you have? How do your religions work. I could explain from a Western worldview, but this doesn't explain the worldview of your world.
