This does not read like a full answer, but it DOES deserve a +1 for that very simple truth. Keeping this in mind, it will also be easier to fully evaluate her verbal responses: if she is not willing to talk about it, there is a signal she doesn't want to do it!

Thanks for the fotos! I was staring at this since yesterday and wondering what madman even built is like this, but now that I see it's a Verkehrsberuhigte Zone it makes a lot more sense!

@MartinBonner Ok, I had not taken that into account, but that makes sense, yes! Orbital mechanics are just so counter-intuitive... G Thanks!

I am no good at physics, but perhaps someone who is may pick up on this comment: A planet that size would hint at a really dense atmosphere, right? Wouldn't that mean you can use a balloon or Zeppelin like construct to get your rocket into higher level and launch it from there?

+1, especially as in grade 7, too little sleep will be clearly felt by her, but not yet risk anything more than a few lessons at school. School-grades are important, but any life-lessons learned from doing bad on a test or even falling asleep at school will be worth much more!

As someone whose handwriting is both quiet large AND a mess: please please please don't force me to work at least an additional day, in the middle of exam-times, just to get those letters onto a piece of paper BY HAND. (I have recently been told that my handwriting comes with "encryption included"...)

As a (medium-level?) introvert who hates conflict of any kind, I can just repeat that "hi" "bye", a short wave, and a smile are very possible to manage and don't cost you much energy, and can mean SO much to the people you work with. "He's silent, but smart, nice and pleasant" should be something you can manage. Also, if you have to (or even want to!) approach the more outgoing people for some reason, go with a very soft voice. A lot of people pick up on that, will follow suit, and if they do, it may be SO much easier for you, too. Introverts often thrive on the slow, soft and gentle!

Thank you for the clear explanation! Comment-sections of reports about the iceberg breaking free have been flooded with people saying only ice resting on land makes a difference.. now I know where they are wrong :).

As someone who always hated PE: PE can be hell if you are just bad at it! In almost every other subject, you can just be silent and hide away. in PE, people will SEE that you are always last, never hit the ball and just cannot make that jump... not very helpful, but this may easily be the reason your daughter just doesn't want to do it.

Just another note to consider: foreign students are not necessarily native speakers of English. They are already dealing with one non-native language; adding English at lecture-level would quiet possibly add more problems for them. Also, as many noted: Yes, I, too, had Germany lectures, and some English text-materials. It works, I speak both quiet happily now.

technologyreview.com/s/518066/… Apparently, there is a vast difference between commercial fast-chargers, and overnight home-charging.

Another note about the 2 year deadline: where will the cars come from? Producing electric cars for a whole population, plus commercial vehicles... that sounds like a LOT of cars!

Just as a side-note: consider not going fully car-free, but add some car-sharing, possibly on electric cars! For some transports, people will need a car (furniture, washing machines etc come to mind). Even buying drinks for a family of 4 without a car is a serious problem. If they can easily borrow a car for these, people will be more inclined to go without their own!

At least on German ATM's, you can often "trick" them: you can either press a button for a preset amount, OR enter the amount manually. If you enter manually, it will often give you a choice on what bills you want.

Another note about multi-tabbers like me: Anything that is not the active tab and plays unrequested sounds at me is plain confusing! Imagine clicking through website 1, and roughly every 5 to 8 clicks, something goes "ding" in your headset because website 2 has some automatic sound...

This is not really a full answer, but perhaps it can help you relax a bit: I visited a Christian Kindergarten, I loved Star Wars and so on as well, and I was exposed to biblical stories and songs in school as well during all my childhood... and grew up to be an agnostic as well :).
