@JonathanReez I find it difficult to compose a reply when anything I write is taken as an 'insult' and deleted. Your comment will persist on the wp site and I'll post a more comprehensive reply in a different article.

@JonathanReez yes, it looks fine and hence approved. Bring it out into the open, and there's no need to post anonymously.
Sep 4, 2017 20:51
And I approved your comment on the wordpress site

@JonathanReez That's fine, I have screenshots saved. We'll visit this again during the next moderator election cycle. Thanks for your help.

@JoErNanO What is the recommended course of action in a situation like this? Anything I write in here, no matter how harmless, is taken as an 'attitude problem'. I am really sorry I have an 'attitude problem', does it mean I should leave the site like @Neanderthal did? Is that what you want?
Sep 1, 2017 23:10
@JonathanReez @HankyPanky got it right
Sep 1, 2017 22:06
@JonathanReez opinion based

Q: My visa will expire the day I am leaving from the UK. Can that be a problem at the border?

özgeI am planning to take my flight ticket on the day my UK visa expires. My partner has a resident permit and he will have to attend an important meeting. I do not want to book go earlier. Will that be a problem?

Sep 1, 2017 17:20
@JonathanReez I can take a photo of my passports and upload it. :)

@Moo Cool people :) Yabloko

@Moo For the American side I'm in an awkward position politically, and the same for the British side. For the Russian side I am Apple party all the way... At least that's clear
Sep 1, 2017 07:01
I am proudest to be British, and then American but as a Vietnam vet it puts me in an odd position with the political scene.
Sep 1, 2017 07:00
@Moo I have 3
Sep 1, 2017 06:54
@Moo Looks like the American passport is better
Sep 1, 2017 06:44
@Moo no, please don't look it up, just curios to me to know incidentally
Sep 1, 2017 06:42
@Moo Any differences for an American or Russian passport?
Sep 1, 2017 06:37
@Moo both of them, interesting
Sep 1, 2017 06:20
@Moo I didn't know any of this, so we need visas like an entry clearance or leave-to-enter at the border?
Sep 1, 2017 06:03
@Moo wait a minute. a kiwi needs a visa for oz?
Sep 1, 2017 06:01
@Moo complex rules
Sep 1, 2017 05:58

Q: Swiss visa from London

RoneetaIf I need a visa to go to Geneva, is it better to go to the Embassy of Switzerland or the Visa Application Centre (VFS) for Switzerland? I travel to Europe quite often. What will give me a longer visa? Any hints would be appreciated!

Sep 1, 2017 05:56
Short residency and BAM Malta passport
Sep 1, 2017 05:56
Easy! You take 1.5 million Euro and invest it there.

@Moo For me, it's sabre rattling, just like North Korea, but with paper, rules and regs.
Sep 1, 2017 05:48
@Moo It was sabre rattling.
Sep 1, 2017 05:48
Stupefied. And I could hardly contain my giggles
Sep 1, 2017 05:47
The guy was stupified!
Sep 1, 2017 05:47
So the airport police handcuffed him behind his back and put him in a chair and told him it would get worse if he kept it up
Sep 1, 2017 05:46
I AM AN AMERICAN guy tried to pull that one
Sep 1, 2017 05:45
I had a sick feeling of embarrassment because I'm one also, but you know what they did???
Sep 1, 2017 05:44
And he started a rant "I AM AN AMERICAN!"
Sep 1, 2017 05:44
Once I was helping an American woman who had told blatant lies and an American male was also in the same room...
Sep 1, 2017 05:43
@Moo she was bounced. The poor girl had to collect her entire suite of furniture and pay for it as luggage
Sep 1, 2017 05:40
So after some questions it turned out she was unemployed and had an entire suite of furniture in luggage. Bed, sofa, dining table, the whole shebang
Sep 1, 2017 05:38
And I asked her "What happened?" And she was in tears and it came out like "I said I was a tourist for two weeks and they put me in here"
Sep 1, 2017 05:37
Once I had an American girl, young, basically attractive, and she was in detention at Heathrow
Sep 1, 2017 05:17
Do you want to know something good you could add as an answer to that question?
Sep 1, 2017 05:15
And when they introduced the Points-based system PBS, ECO's who didn't agree with it would refuse all PBS applications
Sep 1, 2017 05:14
@Moo both! And ECO's were still working off of the primary purpose rule, you couldn't get them to stop
Sep 1, 2017 05:13
@Moo the deception rules were very very differentthen
Sep 1, 2017 05:12
Since I didn't need the money I specialised in overstayers and very interesting people with visa problems
Sep 1, 2017 05:11
End of chapter!
Sep 1, 2017 05:11
So that is the point when I had to do all the rigmarole of getting credentials
Sep 1, 2017 05:11
Sections 84 and 85 required practitioners to get a license
Sep 1, 2017 05:10
@Moo there's actually not much to tell, but I'll finish the first chapter. So along came the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
