And I have to roll them back because it'd take -hours- to go through trying to undo the big changes you made while maintaining the ok changes. It's easier for me to rollback and make the small changes myself. But the way you just ignore requesets and repeatedly vandalise the post with big unnecessary changes , and unnecessarily changing details that go against my intent, it just makes things impossible.
May 22 20:23
And as I said, I was going to go through my post and make some of those grammatical amendments, (having rolled back your first bad edit), and rather than wait for that, you then went and made a second bad edit.

in V'dibarta Bam, yesterday, by Kazi bácsi
@barlop I had similar experience with the user, but I just rolled it back, and fortunately that was it.
May 22 20:18
May 22 20:17
And i'm not the only person whose posts you have messed with..
May 22 20:12
I didn't refer to 3 lameds, because I not giving a count of the total number of lameds in the word.
May 22 20:11
And i'm talking about the two lameds in the "hall" part of the word.. 'cos those are the two you changed into one.
May 22 20:08
You write " All I did with my last edit is put a space before parenthesis, get rid of double spaces, eliminate the double-period punctuation that doesn’t exist in English, and similar things mentioned in my last attempt at rational conversation with him." <-- that's not true. If all you did was that then i'd have been fine with your edit. I even told you already of the bad changes you made, in your second bad edit.

As I said "You even changed where I wrote "halleluyah" to "haleluyah". I wrote it with two ls because there are two lameds there"
May 20 23:40
Thank you
May 20 23:14
Stay away from my answer please stop vandalising it
May 20 23:14
You even changed where I wrote "halleluyah" to "haleluyah". I wrote it with two ls because there are two lameds there. .
May 20 23:11
you didn't even bother to give me time to make adjustments before you vandalised it again
May 20 23:11
please leave my answer alone
May 20 23:10
I just looked at your changes and it is dramatic and unnecesssary again
May 20 23:08
hopefully you haven't vandalised it, i'll have a look
May 20 23:08
but you should have just waited for me.
May 20 23:08
I will have a look at what you have done
May 20 23:07
You already made dramatinc changes without consulting me. And now you've made a load of changes again
May 20 23:07
I told you I will make amendments based on your suggestions
May 20 23:07
Why did you vandalise my answer again without consulting me
May 20 21:50
Where you have legitimately got a correction to my grammar then i'm incorporating it. LEave the incorporation of the suggestions to me. Thanks
May 20 21:49
One example of a very unnecessasry change you made.

I wrote "It’s worth noting that"

You changed that to "And worth bearing in mind that"

That's really unnecessary and is changing the voice of the author. (besides there being a slight difference in meaning to the two phrases). And there's nothing wrong with the phrase I used there. Both phrases are fine in English. It didn't need changing.

Also elsewhere in my post, where I wrote "tsere is a long vowel". Granted it'd be better if I capitalised it "Tsere is a long vowel". But you changed it by combining things into a previous sente
May 20 21:36
i've already incorporated some of your suggestions
May 20 21:36
I think the most efficient way to do this is I incorporate your suggestions first.. I can see the reasoning behind many of your edits. There are lots that i'm fine with and lots that i'm not.
May 20 21:32
i've reverted my post so the comment wouldn't be applicable to it.. I've incorporated some of the suggestions you have re editing my post and i'll incorporate some others when I get more time.
May 20 21:32
You have made so many edits to my post , some ok, but many others changing the intent of what I wrote , a changing my wording a lot, it'd take me hours to fix. That is really bad etiquette and not how you should be editing anybody's post

"And speak of them" (Deut. 6:7) This is the main Mi Yodeya com...
May 22 05:26
@Kazibácsi thanks for letting me know.. Hopefully the mods take notice of the issue with that user doing that!
May 21 01:06
so that one can say "these changes are bad so rolled back" ?
May 21 01:06
There's an option to comment when doing an edit. Is there an option to comment when doing a rollback?
May 21 01:05
ok, thanks, good to know. It should be fine now as he has agreed to leave it alone
May 21 00:04
He has agreed to leave my answer alone, hopefully he will now!
May 20 23:19
They are even making the edit history a mess. It's ugly.
May 20 23:18
Is there a way for me to get them to leave my answer alone, and i'll make the little changes that they want to make. But not the wild changes they keep throwin in when they keep changing my answer themselves.
May 20 23:17
The first time round I pointed out to them some chanegs they made that were big and they admitted they shouldn't have.(though some amendments they made were ok) Then they went ahead and edited my answer again making wild changes. (along with some changes i'd be ok with)
May 20 23:16
I literally opened a chat with them to discuss things first and i'd incorporate some changes and they just ignored what I said and edited my answer again with big changes.
May 20 23:15
Is there a way to stop somebody from making edits to my answer.. they've repeatedly made wild changes despite my pleas with them to stop doing so
May 20 23:15
Thanks.. I think sometimes I want to roll back and then figure out what edits to make..
May 20 21:14
Done. Thanks
May 20 21:10
user qwertrl has made so many changes to my answer . Some ok, some that change my wording a lot and go against the intent of what I wrote,
https://judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/92599/what-are-the-rules-for-shva-na/117078#117078 it'd take me hours to fix.. How can I revert it?

But by accepting an answer that didn't work for you and didn't work for what has been discussed and described, you are putting wrong information into the system and that hurts people that are looking for good information.
Jan 17 20:59
If somebody had posted a question not knowing about bootrec, not mentioning it, and he had answered and it worked for them then they could accept it and that'd be accurate.
Jan 17 20:59
So you acceptng that answer, is misleading.. It didn't fix your problem.
Jan 17 20:58
Suppose somebody looks up about bootrec not working, finds your question, sees his answer, and thinks oh it won't work the way you did it but it iwll the way he did. And that's wrong. 'cos it didn't work for you either.
