in this situation, "an partly" should be "a partly" to be grammatically correct, but they're more concerned with getting the actual quote rather than changing the grammar.

@GuruVishnu "(sic)" just means it's quoted as it was actually said, even though it's weird or grammatically incorrect, etc.

@kimholder lol I use it in a few places now, and because of it some people refer to me as "the gnome" :P

i guess that depends.

but they hired me to focus on security, so the area i spend most of my time is the "protected environment" where the medical stuff happens

the clusters are used for all kinds of stuff... physics, chemistry, atmospheric sciences, astronomy, genomics, fire science, etc.

lol it's kind of crazy. a lot of the stuff that happens at this place is way over my head.

it's a pretty cool job. they let me play with things, and encourage me to explore and learn new things.
