So what Bandai is doing here is inexcusable.
Fri 10:06
@SPArcheon-onstrike Sandfall shipped upwards of eight hours of music in over 150 tracks for that same $20.
Fri 00:49
@RavenDreamer This is an update to the standalone soundtrack, not to the game itself.
Thu 23:09
30 of 154 tracks were updated.
Thu 22:58
(several tracks in the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 original soundtrack suffered from audible distortion due to clipping; the versions posted on YouTube, etc. were fixed a couple of weeks ago, and the update has just shipped on Steam)
Jul 13 13:07
Gotta love Gestrals for being the blood knights they are.
Jul 13 13:06
(Monoco, on reviving another character)

 Board and Card Games

General discussion for boardgames.stackexchange.com. Chat abou...

Nonstop "draw a card" triggers in a deck that's loaded with enchantments.
Mon 20:49
I've discarded more times than I'd like on my cleanup step.
Mon 20:48
(yes, I'm the problem 🤣)
Mon 20:48
Overwhelming card advantage is the other thing I've noticed with this deck. Elesh Norn would only amplify this.
Mon 20:43
I've found it tends to go tall because of the Virtuous Role tokens.
Mon 20:31
I'll look into those later. For now, I'll see how these cards can fit in the deck.
Mon 20:30
Yeah, that's what I'm aiming for
Mon 20:28
I mean, those singles already cost more than what I spent on the Virtue and Valor precon itself.
Mon 20:27
That card is too expensive, and it's a Commander Game Changer, which might draw a bit of ire.
Mon 20:26
It's mono-white.
Mon 20:26
...or not. Thought it was white-blue.
Mon 20:23
Yeah. I've said elsewhere that it's one of the best protection spells ever printed...
Mon 20:12
Before you ask: the Containment Priest is there because there's reanimator in my playgroup.
Mon 20:10
I'm surprised the shock land is more expensive.
Mon 20:10
(yes, the last card in this list is a fetch land)
Mon 20:09
How did I do?
Mon 20:09
Jul 19 02:46
While it's still powerful in a 100-card singleton format, it's much less format-warping.
Jul 19 02:43
The fact that Once Upon a Time can be played "turn-zero" is exactly why it's banned in Pioneer and Modern.
Jul 19 02:36
@XanderHenderson Nobody expects a player to say "on your end step" before they even play their first land... but that's exactly what I did.
Jul 18 23:42
The thing is, Ellivere is a strong commander to begin with, and Virtue and Valor is a pretty powerful deck even in its unmodified state.
Jul 18 23:41
lol
Jul 18 23:39
I still have very little experience playing paper Magic. It's only when my colleagues got into it that I actually got myself a Commander precon.
Jul 18 23:38
The deck did see a few upgrades, most notably Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines (which hasn't seen play so far) and Once Upon a Time (which I wound up playing turn-one on an opponent's end step today).
Jul 18 23:33
Yeah, CK makes sense.
Jul 18 23:32
I'll look into it, though I'm not normally picky about vendors over issues like this.
Jul 18 23:31
The problem is that a lot of companies do that...
Jul 18 23:29
Hmm... I guess it's time for me to start ordering singles on TCGplayer.
Jul 18 23:25
lol
Jul 18 23:17
Craterhoof is of course an option (and was last printed in TDM!) but that's not exactly what I was thinking about.
Jul 18 23:16
@XanderHenderson I was leaning towards stuff like Gaea's Gift and Overprotect that can grant trample at instant speed...
Jul 18 22:23
It also needs sources of trample to perform its best.
Jul 18 22:11
On the other hand, the deck has trouble dealing with removal.
Jul 18 22:11
Funny how quickly commander damage can add up, especially when Syr Ellivere herself is enchanted. Angelic Destiny on Ellivere means 8 commander damage in the air, resulting in a three-turn clock.
Jul 18 22:07
After a handful of Commander games... Selesnya Ellivere enchantress can be devastating in the right conditions, with insane card advantage, but it's not the most reactive deck.
Jul 8 22:06
Yeah. I'd settle on {1}{U}{B}.
Jul 8 22:03
Hmm. On second thought, that makes sense.
Jul 8 22:01
Hence a creature is still required: "Destroy target creature. Counter up to one target activated or triggered ability."
Jul 8 21:56
(allowing mono-black to play it for four mana, but three if you have blue)
Jul 8 21:56
Maaaaaaybe monocolored hybrid mana symbols (e.g. {2/U}{B}{B})?
