oh, the not so far away future?

Well, maybe i don't have the rights either and that is just boillerplate…
Apr 8 18:54
I've looked them up 1 through 5 have no record at all. Apparently they were deleted before it was tracked.
Apr 7 23:00
oh… well, then scratch that
Apr 7 20:28
we use this for bounties: http:/ /chemistry.stackexchange.com/feeds/featured it's old… it doesn't use encryption lol
Apr 7 20:23
@PetəíŕdtheWizard userid 1 is the community user -- it's a special mod bot account
Mar 26 23:42
@CuckooBeats I don't really think I did. My age on the site yes, but that's kinda obvious anyway. I think it's possible to find out my actual age with the help of the internet.
Mar 26 23:39
@PetəíŕdtheWizard that can be pretty annoying though, I mean the flags
Mar 25 19:02
Oh well, there's life in this neck of the woods after all.
Mar 25 19:00
@CuckooBeats congrats 🎉 is that already the edit for free threshold?
Mar 25 19:00
@CuckooBeats ah yes... The olden times. Before graduation. Before I became a mod. That's long ago. 0.o
Mar 14 13:42
@Poutnik it has changed quite a bit since then. I think the revision of the blue book is from '93.
Mar 14 13:40
@CuckooBeats it's just a feed that pushes those links. A bot you could say...
Mar 14 13:39
@CuckooBeats Well, Not really. ;)
Mar 13 20:53
@Mithoron should've reaad the transcript fürst…
Mar 13 20:52
@Mithoron I would believe the bot, but since you've been active here for about a decade I've some trouble believing the 12 yo gurrrl :D
Mar 12 21:02
Yes is hard since only few people come here and none are here to simply chat. There were different times though. Maybe we should schedule a chat event...
Mar 12 01:32
Oh, there's a whole lot of nothing going on here. :(

There used to be more banter in here...
Nov 23, 2024 17:51
@Mithoron That autocomment thing was a nuisance since as long as i remember being a mod.
Nov 18, 2024 23:08
Also I'm honoured you think of me as someone with expertise. Even though I'm not playing the game anymore...
Nov 18, 2024 23:07
NBO isn't a very precise number game...
Nov 18, 2024 23:06
@LordStryker totally possible. Does the rest seem plausible too?
Nov 18, 2024 23:06
@Mithoron that is a somewhat longer story. Natural (atomic) orbitals are those that converge a post-hf wave function faster. They are desperately "compact". Maths and such... That doesn't help for nbo though. Just saying to confuse everyone. Iirc the natural bond orbitals use a similar approach to form orbitals that latter translate to a binding picture. I guess the natural post is, that it matches our understanding of structural formulae.
Nov 18, 2024 23:00
@LordStryker is based on local linear symmetry. The p orbitals perpendicular to the binding axis essentially stay the same. That leaves one s and one p and their hybrid mixing.
Nov 18, 2024 22:58
@LordStryker as a first approximation that is correct. Well, I'm my opinion. However, if you look closer, the is usually more s character towards bonding, which makes it more like sp0.7 (or so}. At the same time more p character is in the lounge pair. You could probably get to sp2 there. I find it easier to start from the symmetrical view and distort to the more complex picture.
Nov 11, 2024 20:30
surprised about them upgoats
Nov 2, 2024 22:04
@Mithoron make it short ;) very, very short.
Nov 2, 2024 22:02
+s
Nov 2, 2024 22:02
@Mithoron go, go, go … capture the flag!
Oct 17, 2024 16:22
That reminds me, I should go shop for toys.
Oct 17, 2024 16:21
@BuckThorn I have always and will continue to refuse to grow up.
Oct 16, 2024 14:32
@Mithoron I am a normal human typing with my human hands!
Oct 16, 2024 14:32
@BuckThorn aughh naurrr that would be bad… i mean downhill from the start 0.o
Oct 15, 2024 20:51
:D
Oct 15, 2024 20:51
man; i should really invest some time in typing 10 fingers
Oct 15, 2024 20:50
accidental numblock on… lol … it was supposed to be: still alive and kicking
Oct 15, 2024 20:49
@LordStryker yeah st533 a35ve and 25c25ng ;
Oct 13, 2024 21:16
yo; no spoilers
Oct 13, 2024 21:15
i guess it's old enough now so that i can look up them discussions later on
Oct 13, 2024 21:15
okay, yeah. we'll see
Oct 13, 2024 21:11
yeah occasionally i enjoy doing/watching stuff i actually understand ;)
Oct 13, 2024 21:08
okay, i'll give it another go then
Oct 13, 2024 21:03
hmm… no posts of me in two years. Guess I'm really becoming invisible here

I'm sorry to tell you this, but your suggested edit was really, really bad. While your points were not wrong, there are multiple issues you should have addressed. You shouldn't complain about consistency, when you're not trying to understand the underlying principles and are not willing to learn what a thorough edit is. You're making it harder for you than necessary. Editing without approval is a privilege you can earn. That's something the site is built upon.
