Although this is a particularly hard question, iirc, serious chemists don't use this concept of covalency anymore (?). So the whole concept of covalency in itself is just kinda ill-defined, which makes it difficult to give usable answers using it :/ (at least I think so)

@SafdarFaisal I'm gonna occassionaly ping you, I hope you don't mind :') This is another answer with 25k views that could use some fresh replies. Thanks!
Apr 26, 2021 17:58
@AvyanshKatiyar Yep. SDE is the way to go! :D
Apr 25, 2021 10:47
@SafdarFaisal Great!
Apr 25, 2021 10:47
@AvyanshKatiyar Hey Avnish, long time :) And nice, good to know
Apr 25, 2021 08:26
Nice SEDE query. I added a " AND Posts.ViewCount > 1000" on the where clause. Not sure why my post doesn't show up in the results then :/
Apr 25, 2021 08:23
@SafdarFaisal Great, thanks very much
Apr 25, 2021 08:23
@SafdarFaisal It absolutely is! :D
Apr 25, 2021 07:26
Nice. Good luck! :)
Apr 25, 2021 07:20
How do you plan to handle your content on the site though, btw? ;)
Considering, IIUC, your involvement is also gonna go down quite a bit for the next 2-3 years.
Apr 25, 2021 07:18
Right, of course, I meant to say, we would have no dearth of comments waiting to be explored and replied to.
Apr 25, 2021 07:17
Indeed. I feel we can limit ourselves to more active comments (like <1week). I'm sure if someone writes a SEDE query to find them there's gonna be quite a few.
Apr 25, 2021 07:15
But I agree JEE-regulars will probably find the content more relatable
Apr 25, 2021 07:15
I do not feel my request is specifically related to JEE :P
Apr 25, 2021 07:13
Hey Safdar! Right. Another way we could handle this is by using a chatroom akin to Spring Cleaning.
Apr 25, 2021 07:10
Of course, this is a very time-consuming process. So I would only use this flag for very very popular posts. The one I linked to in particular has 80k views.
I feel it is important to make sure the quality of our site's most viewed posts is very high, and to address any genuine comments that may be received about them. And I do regret my inability to engage with such comments constructively anymore.
Apr 25, 2021 07:08
Is there a way I can "flag" them for "review" by prevailing active members of the site? Who could then read the comment and take action accordingly: edit the answer/reply to the wrong comment/etc.
Apr 25, 2021 07:07
For example, this latest comment.
Apr 25, 2021 07:06
I occassionally receive comments on my old answers that later became popular. However, I've been away from chemistry entirely for almost 3 years now and I lack the required knowledge or confidence to engage with them: either by correcting my own answer or replying to the comment itself.
Apr 25, 2021 07:05
Is there some facility for "review requests" in general on stackexchange and in particular on chemistry stackexchange?
Apr 25, 2021 07:05
Hi, been a long time here, how's everything going? :)
Jan 12, 2020 15:16
@M.A.R. :P
Jan 12, 2020 02:47
@YuvrajSingh... can you create a separate chat room please
Jan 11, 2020 15:24
@YuvrajSingh... hi sure, ping me in a separate chat room

 :chat!

Vi and Vim chat vi.stackexchange.com
May 14, 2020 04:07
Although my questions would be comparably a lot more basic than the ones I see on the current homepage of the site :P
May 14, 2020 04:06
I recently switched to using vim full time for my stuff, let's see how it goes, hopefully I'll post a few more questions on the website :)
May 14, 2020 04:06
I've marked my question as duplicate of the one you linked to
May 14, 2020 04:05
@statox Thanks, I'll try to setup makeprg, it does seem useful.
May 13, 2020 15:26
@statox Hey thanks for helping me out! :) I will check it and let you know in a while if it works for me. Regarding mkprog, I wished to ask if it works globally. Like, my gmm alias works in every directory. Will mkprog also work (without the need for any make files)?

I'm studying in CSE branch
Jan 13, 2020 03:00
@YuvrajSingh... regarding questions about IIITH, I can
Jan 12, 2020 18:25
if you do all this right now you'll get distracted from jee
Jan 12, 2020 18:25
you'll have ample time to compare colleges later
Jan 12, 2020 18:24
once you know what your options are then it's actually better to try compare colleges imo
Jan 12, 2020 18:24
you should focus mostly on jee mains marks
Jan 12, 2020 18:24
@YuvrajSingh... I do not think much specific advice about colleges matters at this point
Jan 12, 2020 15:17
the cutoff's usually 250 to 260 marks
Jan 12, 2020 15:17
depends on your level of preparation for mains though
Jan 12, 2020 15:17
for jee mains, it is reasonably hard to get into IIIT
Jan 12, 2020 15:17
it would be better post on IIITH counseling forum facebook group regarding ugee
Jan 12, 2020 15:16
I have not given ugee

hehe exactly
Dec 9, 2019 12:02
Nice reduction. Thanks. That's the only problem I'll solve then. I don't have the energy to solve the others :(
Dec 9, 2019 12:01
I see. Can we say that $\frac 1 {\phi(d)}$ is multiplicative? Oh, of course, we can
Dec 9, 2019 11:58
Any ideas on how to go about them?
Dec 9, 2019 11:57
@ÍgjøgnumMeg Hi, so I solved all three more parts of prob. 13 using the identity you showed me today. And now I am stuck on two more parts: $\sum _{d|n} \mu^2(d)\phi^2(d)$ and $\sum _{d|n} \frac {\mu(d)}{\phi(d)}$
Dec 9, 2019 07:46
Sure, I'll let you know by today or tomorrow! :)
Dec 9, 2019 07:45
@ÍgjøgnumMeg Nice! I think you're right. Yeah I had skipped problem 5 hehe :P
Dec 9, 2019 07:33
Yah, that's right. The PDF didn't name the function to be Kronecker delta.
