Stop arguing what other people were arguing in the comments, and read and make a conclusion by yourself.
Jul 5, 2020 02:31
You are a mod, you need to be better than this.
Jul 5, 2020 02:31
Not whatever other people said i said.
Jul 5, 2020 02:31
If you are going to have a conversation with me, you'll have to read my points and arguments.
Jul 5, 2020 02:30
Stop the feedback. Read.

You'll notice that I never once mentioned an augmented second

Jul 5, 2020 02:27
And that wall is not made of my arguments
Jul 5, 2020 02:27
I'll tell you this in the nicest way posible: you are arguing with a wall
Jul 5, 2020 02:26
Again, no one made that point
Jul 5, 2020 02:26
Exactly...
Jul 5, 2020 02:26
All the augmented second stuff was not a point made by the OP. It was not a point made by me. It was a point made in the comments.
Jul 5, 2020 02:25
OP thought major and minor thirds where the same thing. I used the table to show that there are different types of thirds. That's it.
Jul 5, 2020 02:25
But no one made that point
Jul 5, 2020 02:23
Sorry, but no. If you choose to interpret them that way, that's on you. But no, I even explained my train of thought about it above.
Jul 5, 2020 02:23
So my asking apologies was me being nice, not the opposite. But you turned into whatever you wanted.
Jul 5, 2020 02:22
But you are also interpreting my comments in the worst way possible. Again, asking to be nice, without being nice yourself. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principle_of_charity
Jul 5, 2020 02:21
And the number line comment was honest, since you were the one claiming being confused by it. But in my experience the subject is widely studied in elementary school, so I didn't expect someone to be confused by that. In the same way, the number line has been successfully used to structurally introduce students to intervals (ending in a number circle, rather) for generations. That's why I feel sorry for confusing you, I shouldn't expect everyone to know everything.
Jul 5, 2020 02:14
Three wrongs don't make one right (and it's stretching the meaning of "several"), and you continue to argue against a point no one made, so in the rails of keeping everything nice, let's agree to disagree and move on with our day.
Jul 5, 2020 01:20
So, yes, I'll be nice. But you need to be nice too and inform yourself about the answers and questions you moderate, read them carefully before taking actions as a mod to then insert opinions as a user, because the things you are arguing here are not even a point in my answer, and show that you were only as far as reading the comments.
Jul 5, 2020 01:15
I even quoted the relevant lines...
Jul 5, 2020 01:14
The number line example was presented to support this idea structurally, with a familiar concept, not to assert that "a number of semitones does not give an interval alone". These all becomes clear as soon as you read both the question and my answer carefully.
Jul 5, 2020 01:13
@Dom Both the table and the number line example were presented with very specific contexts, and explicit quotes. The table was presented to show that there are different type of thirds. That's it. It was not meant to start a thesis on enharmonics.
Jul 5, 2020 01:11
You say to be nice, but you are not nice yourself. I'll be nice, but you have to lead with the example. I ask you to please, be nice, and instead of just reading the comments, read the complete question and my complete answer.
Jul 4, 2020 22:26
If you want to discuss centuries-old techniques of academia and conservatory because you feel confused, you need books, not chats.
Jul 4, 2020 22:26
Now, please, stop bothering me about this.
Jul 4, 2020 22:25
I'm sorry if the number line confuses you, but for most people it is not the case.
Jul 4, 2020 22:24
The number line is very commonly presented as analogue to the notes and their intervals. It has been used in conservatories for centuries.
Jul 4, 2020 22:23
What you said was already said, and already discussed. So it's either here or deleted.
Jul 4, 2020 22:22
Please,stop wasting my time.
Jul 4, 2020 22:22
@Dom you read the comments so idk why you are replying.
Jul 4, 2020 00:34
@RosieF My mistake. I was under the impression that you were the person asking the question, but you seem to be under a completely different confusion.
Jul 3, 2020 22:48
@RosieF Your books don't mention how intervals work? What theory books are you using? Perhaps you need an introductory one? You seem confused about the most basic (literally) music theory concept.

Something along those lines, but with personal experiences with woods (which seems to be a common subject in classical guitar forums), perhaps another user adds some measurements, who knows

Q: What Adds "Cream" to a Guitar Tone?

user3704920I've got an American ESP, 2 humbuckers through a tube screamer and Fender Hot Rod Deluxe tube amp. Though I can get a great tone with just these, my tone lacks a bit of cream audible when this guy rocks an over driven bend or vibrato. The sounds he gets is a bit creamy, almost on the mid range so...
