So, I'm working on .NET-based card game - OutOfMemory! Your goal is to build an app from Features which allocate Memory, you periodically need to play GC cards. You can play Span or ArrayPool cards or prank others with Memory Leak or Boxing cards! http://tooslowexception.com/outofmemory-a-nerdy-card-game-for-developers/ @dotnet

Some say "learn by doing" is the best learning style. In programming, it's "learn by breaking".

Btw you can still upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free, despite the offering being closed. Just go to download windows 10 page on MS website, do the create media option, then click upgrade. Doesn't need USB or storage, gives you a free license.

In #VBA with Rubberduck you can decorate a member with (no space between @ and Obsolete): ´@ Obsolete("Little bandage for the huge technical debt") Marks the procedure as obsolete; code inspections will then give you a warning for every usage. https://twitter.com/sputier/status/1118433966334386176

When performing a code review: 1. Mention what you like, don't focus only on the bad things 👍 2. If you are nitpicking, be clear about it. (nit: I don't like this name). 3. When you are not sure about something, ask for clarification. 4. Always be nice. Don't forget to thank.

I feel blessed. The Rubberduck dev team and supporters make a wonderful circle (more like a welcoming, all-inclusive "U" actually) - and "inspiring" would be a massive understatement for my fellow #excel and #office MVP friends #mvpbuzz https://twitter.com/AncientWisd0m/status/1115359197175123973

Your first podcast will be awful. Your first video will be awful Your first article will be awful Your first art will be awful Your first photo will awful Your first game will be awful But you can't make your 50th without making your first. So get it over with, and make it.
