Beard growth is primarily caused by testosterone. Testosterone is produced in greater amounts when you are sexually aroused. Hence, you should watch lots of fanservicey anime if you want to grow a beard.
BTW Healthy diet and exercise are also essential to keep testosterone levels high. Low sugar intake, only eating healthy fats, high zinc intake, and sufficient vitamin D and protiens are important. Also, working in a high stress environment or being overweight really hurts you. When was the last time you saw a stressed-out fat guy with an awesome beard?

Back to beard growth: Getting a good amount of sleep is also important for beard growth, and hair growth in general. Also, if you really want to grow a beard, you should not shave at all. Not even once. Do this at least until the beard is thick enough to brush/comb through. That means at least one month. During that period, you can't really afford to care how you look.
You should periodically check for ingrown hairs, which will stop your beard from growing any more, and if necessary shampoo it the same way you do your hair.
@iKlsR There's actually already a great number of resources for growing beards. It's a huge area of knowledge that's at the crossroads of combination of modern medical science and ancient wisdom, and there's still a great deal we don't know about growing beards. I'm really just an amateur in this regard.
However, it would make sense to start an area51 proposal. I will call it Facial Hair Science.
Actually, there's already a Hair proposal which we might be able to take over. I'd rather propose "Facial Hair Science" though because it's epic, but we need a good argument for why we aren't a dupe of that proposal.

@iKlsR I think I have a good argument for why we should be different. We have different experts. Facial hair experts tend to be people with experience in growing beards themselves, while hair experts are hairdressers (everyone grows hair, but hairdressers know the most about it). The body of knowledge about the two is also somewhat different. So it makes sense to have them separate.
@iKlsR It really doesn't make sense to look at stats before you're at least 2 weeks old, and probably more like a month old. They tend to do unpredictable things right out of private beta, and they really only stabilize and become meaningful after at least a month, possibly two.

I was also checking up how the review system works.. they call it a feature. I have access to mod tools and whenever I suggest a tag wiki edit, it shows me the alert but I can't see it.
@iKlsR The way bins are used on SO chat is different from here. Here we use it do get rid of particularly useless messages or for sandboxing. We typically can easily get a chat mod here if we have a troll because all mods in the network are chat mods, so there's not much difficulty dealing with trolls. On SO, where there are almost no chat mods, they deal with troll messages by moving them to the bin, but really moving messages isn't technically supposed to be used for cases like that.

It could just be that the results for search are heavily cached, though it'd still be surprising for the cache to be old enough that it would register a question (which had 1k views a week ago) as <400 views.
BTW Freelancing is at 90 questions. No word yet from SE. Given that they typically decide these these things on Mondays or Tuesdays, I think we'll know pretty soon the fate of the site. It could go public today at 19:00, or it could stay private longer, or it could get closed in the near future, but we'll definitely have some update today.
@JNat I think the decrease is mostly because it was never popular to begin with. Krazer and I posted lots of questions for the first few weeks, and other people posted a few. I had around 10 the first few weeks. Since then we've both cut back drastically on the number of questions asked. Other users have actually probably been asking more, but it never got to the point of being self-sustaining.
that way we'll get some other event (like answering unanswered questions) on the Saturdays between Flavor Days, and if we were able to announce the Flavor with that much distance from the actual event, maybe more people would come up with more questions in the meantime
@Eric Merged questions redirect to the new question. The fact that I even got redirected though means that the merged question wasn't deleted individually. However, only 10k users can see mergec questions anyway, and for all intents and purposes they count as deleted.

I can't really call it good based on what I've seen. The characters are bland and their actions don't make sense or seem over-the-top. The story isn't explained. However, that could be due to poor writing, or it could be that there's some big mysteries waiting to be explained. I'm sort of betting on the former though.

@iKlsR Not quite the same. The latter one is asking if the fact that Brook can actually drown by being submerged in water. We know that he will sink, but he doesn't have any lungs anyway so he presumably couldn't die from that.
I don't know if the answer actually exists in-universe, but I think it is a slightly different question.

@iKlsR I'm not sure. He does weaken. But I don't know if being weakened by devil fruit powers can kill a devil fruit user. I always assumed they died by drowning, i.e. their lungs filling up with air, but I don't think that would apply to a skeleton with no lungs, so I'm not actually sure how he would die.
@iKlsR I'd assume so. Fish seem to just swallow smaller fish whole, which do have bones. But I don't know if they'd eat a pile of bones without any meat.

And, to be honest, we don't exactly know if Brook can drown. It's certainly not obvious that he can since he has no lungs, but it's not particularly obvious how a skeleton is alive to begin with.

@iKlsR Being able to survive without eating, breathing, etc. isn't a devil fruit power. The fact that he came back to life is a devil fruit power, but his ability to continue to survive w/o breathing is because he doesn't have any internal organs.
ah good but what I am saying is, his devil fruit ability grants him life, unless it has permanently altered his body say like Luffy (who can still stretch while under water) (Arlong Park) it should cancel out.
