@SPArcheon-onstrike I'm glad it stopped at volume 4: it's become a chore to watch it, just like the experience I had with Kino's Journey. If you agree the two shows are similar, then this kind of anime is not for me.
Or is there a certain kind of mindset I need to enjoy the Girls Last Tour (or Kino's Journey) anime?
Oh right, I also get the same impression while reading Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, so I'd group them together in the same recommendations if anyone likes the post-apocalyptic vibes.

I wonder if there's a kind of anime/manga that may be more enjoyable to wait for 1 week (the regular schedule) to watch/read the next episode/chapter, rather than binge watching it...
Oh, Girls' Last Tour is on YouTube by Muse Ltd
post-apocalyptic vibes... I can only recall Wolf's Rain when I had a chance to watch it on Animax
might not even be about post-apocalyptic lol

@AndrewT. Can't imagine people binge watching the Big Four.
Ah, I still need to watch Wolf's Rain.

Q: Oshi no Ko: Difference between ani & oniichan?

BCLCIn the Oshi no Ko anime, Ruby Hoshino says to Kana Arima of Ruby's older twin brother Aqua I think Uchi no ani shisukon nanno (?) うちの兄シスコンなんの But in the live action it's I think Uchi no oniichan shisukon nande (?) うちのお兄ちゃんシスコンなんで What's up with this change from ani to oniichan and nanno to na...

@Peilonrayz basically I meant that both are ultra-short, and missing content compared to the manga.
@Gao mumble... ever heard about a movie (real persons, not an anime) called Departures?
Kurosawa's "Dreams" may help too.
Basically, there is a specific mindset in Japan about making your life worth living. Girls last tour is about that from start to end.
Kino is similar but as far as I get it somehow different.
Chi and Yu journey has a destination, and when they reach it at the end of the manga they do stop because there is nothing further ahead for them.
Coincidentally, this is also why most readers assume the ending means they die there
(that is not true , but you have to read between the lines to understand what actually happens)

@SPArcheon-onstrike Looks familiar, is it the one with a good OST? Will watch it if it's on my Spotify.
@SPArcheon-onstrike I may have. Googling it shows it's a 2008 Japanese movie? I generally dislikes Japanese films (real persons), but could try watching a bit for Ryouko Hirosue.
@SPArcheon-onstrike Well, that specific mindset led to many bad anime like Colorful produced.

@Gao I suggest you read the plot beforehand. It is not a "for everyone" movie, and the point was to show that there is a very Japanese mindset around some topics.
@Gao It is not an anime and I don't think its fame is due to music.
Anyway, I was referring specifically to the last "episode" in the movie
