Q: What does following a person on Steam do?

OtakuDisclaimer: I'm not a stalker. Steam lets you follow people. What does following people actually do though? Having someone as a Steam friend already lets you see what games someone adds to their wishlist, starts playing, buys, etc... so what's the point of following someone, and what does it do?

@SaintWacko I still can't get over the answer I got to a question clearly tagged like "It looks like you are talking about a game like Team Fortress 2. Also, here's an r/Warframe reference"
02:41
@Unionhawk Hahaha seriously?
03:32
@Unionhawk Though that was an actual user that just posted the question body into some LLM. It wasn’t answer assistant.
Yes
We are not experiment participants
@Otaku Oh, that makes more sense
I would have hoped the answer assistant would have the tag as an input

@Otaku Needy Girl Overdose literally has a self harm minigame. Trust me, the age rating is already VERY stretched and it is clear that some of the rating board didn't even get the full extend of the unsafe content in the game.
There was NO WAY that would fly with a "better" art style.
@murgatroid99 I think you may want to hold your horses.
That is just one of the participants to the first phase of the project
notice that it took a mod posting their concerns to get them out to the general public.

A: AI-generated Answers experiment on Stack Exchange sites that volunteered to participate

Franck Dernoncourt Which Stack Exchange sites are participating in the experiment? Arts & Crafts, Raspberry Pi and User Experience (UX) are currently participating in the experiment. Web Apps was a participant in an earlier stage. Why did Web Apps withdraw from the experiment? E.g., was it due to poor answer qual...

This doesn't seem to indicate in any way that the company is on board with said concerns. Quite the opposite IMHO
08:42
I personally think one of the few ways that AI might be useful for Stack Exchange is to improve tag suggestions
Not automatic tagging mind you, but rather to recommend tags that users may want to tag their question with

not that I really hope to get an answer, but can someone help me undelete this question that was deleted by the community user?

@SPArcheon-onstrike Done
@Unionhawk thanks. Technically, it is very easy to answer, you just need someone owning the original chart.
Ye, just got hit by the "+0/-0 with no activity for 1 year" rule or whatever
Unrelatedly, I don't know what weapon I want to go with this monster hunter
I tried greatsword last night with mixed results
I did switch axe in rise
I should get back into Monster Hunter.
But there is already a growing backlog.
I guess the priority should be finding a shark tail and a blue hoodie and get hired as Gura 2 to cover the long times she doesn't stream.

It also performs, uh, well it shows that my 3070 is 5 years old
But, I paid for 8 gb of vram, god damn it I'm going to use all of it
@Unionhawk yeah... I am one of those crazy persons that get to see enough Windows&Co for work purposes so want to just pop a disk in a console and play...
so I guess that is a non-issue for me.
It seems fine if I have other players just off as the default
Ok frames in the first chapter of the demo, then the game populated like 20 players in the base camp
@Unionhawk Someone recently discovered that in Genshin, the Hydro Traveler burst skill actually does contact damage as it moves forward kinda fast.
Meaning that "if we were to lag the game so that the water ball moves slower..."
15:53
wait... I was wrong... it is not about the lag....
this is far bigger I initially thought
16:08
@SPArcheon-onstrike You see that the quote is from an answer by an employee, right?
[Yes I do](https://meta.stackexchange.com/questions/403781) . As I do realize the timed retention of "we are not doing that (*)" claims. The data dump also wasn't going to be restricted or anything. Took half a strike to have what we got now, and a certain dog is still waiting on the promised answer for a "full network" version. So yep, the fact I doubt what they claim and that this will not become a full feature regardless the outcome was exactly the point.
(*)yet
You can't do markdown formatting in a multiline chat message
yes, yes I noticed. For some reason I was remembering links being the only thing that worked but I was wrong

Small update about the UX survey and the $20 gift card... I accidentally chose the wrong age range (18 below), which I'm pretty sure made me invalid to continue. The form essentially autocompleted itself and gave me a generic "We will contact you if you pass the screener survery," so basically disqualified.
Almost definitely.
I emailed them back and asked if I could have the form reopened to me, but no response... and the survey period closes today.
So that sucks.
Someone console me please
(I'm an idiot)
21:21
@Otaku At least it wasn't a $100 gift card. That would really sting.
@Wipqozn Yeah, that would be so much worse.
@SPArcheon-onstrike here, have a bounty too.
