bruh tf, why ec1 has requirement to get 20k eternities
is that a requirement to unlock the challenge (plz say no lol)
i have enough tt to unlock, but not even close to 20k eternities
i just spent like a couple hours leaving ad on the side, still only at 10k eternities like bruh

From the discord bot:
Eternity buyer to 0, crunch (theoretically best to worst) 2e308, 1e154,1e103, 1e77 (all with "x times last" setting)
Test which works the best for you. You might have to adjust the value a little bit. Use ID+active path.
Experiment with DimBoost and Galaxy intervals a bit. I used 0.3 seconds on DimBoosts and 0.1 seconds on Galaxies, which got me the "Eternities are the new Infinity" achievement for 2x faster eternity grinding.

If you have TS181, do not use your crunch autobuyer (disable it). All other advice remains the same.

ok thats annoying but here we go

@RydwolfPrograms Apropos of nothing, I'm now wondering if somebody has ever made a computer game with borderline unusable UI, bizarre aesthetics, no clear goal, etc. and titled it "This Is Not A Computer Game"
I'm sure such a game would acquire a passionate cult following

There is something called "There Is No Game"

I've considered making a horror game about my job as a supermarket cashier

LOL

When you run out of receipt paper your whole terminal, the scanner, everything freezes. I feel like that could be a fun mechanic.
The power went out yesterday which was awesome but could also fit well in a supermarket-cashier-horror-game

Could do something in the style of Papers, Please

3:12 AM
@RydwolfPrograms Like, an actual horror game where the customers are zombies or something? Or is the worst they do just demanding to see the manager?

It'd start off normal
You'd slowly start to notice little things that are off
Sometimes it just wouldn't feel right
As it went on, things would be more overtly wrong, scary, or dangerous

It can't be normal for too long or people would just stop playing

People would buy unsettling things. The break room would contain unsettling people. Lights wouldn't turn on, and the power would act strange.

I kinda want to play this now
In broad daylight, in a crowded restaurant or something

so what would be the goal of the game, if there is any?

3:14 AM
Survive as long as possible

@AidenChow Getting your manager to pay you more than minimum wage

I feel like I'd be good at making horror stuff

@RydwolfPrograms survive as long as possible lol, as if ur life is in danger or smth

I just can't draw for shit so I'd need an artist

like r zombies attacking u or what

3:16 AM
Worse, Karens

Worse, zombie Karens

Well, the break room would eventually be completely dark, and deteriorate into an unfinished basement/crawl space. The freezer door would get sticky sometimes.
You'd have to work increasingly often on dark stormy nights
Plenty of opportunities to get killed by some unknown horror

@RydwolfPrograms Ooh, going into the freezer and then hearing the door shut behind you would be scary af

lol this would unironically be a hit game

E.g., you forget to replace the receipt paper. The game freezes up. You hear something behind you but can't move. You thought the store was empty.

3:20 AM
i would definitely play this game (with my room lights on of course, u think im stupid? lmfao)

If it's got Rydwolf's signature drawing style, it wouldn't even be that scary (no offense, Rydwolf)

Maybe you start finding notes from the previous cashiers

@user bro u hear what rydwolf said? hes getting an artist to do that shit lol

Oh lol

there's something odd in the basement. I've been hearing growling noises

3:21 AM
@emanresuA like what would they say on them??

How much of FNAF are you going to borrow?

damn that would be creepy

Should this go into the gaming room, btw?

(also i have a distinct feeling this entire discussion should be in cgcc gaming)

3:22 AM
Ninja'd :P
@emanresuA could you omve this?

46 messages moved from The Nineteenth Byte

alright nice

@AidenChow Most of it wouldn't be readable

@RydwolfPrograms does the game just end there or like what happens

I guess yeah
I've never played a horror game lol

3:24 AM
damn how would u even avoid that

@RydwolfPrograms Maybe they'd seem like nonsense at first, but later on, you figure out some way to decode them and realize they're talking about monsters in the basement right as you're about to enter the basement or something

You wouldn't
It's inevitable

then its up to luck to survive longer?

I feel like I'd be good at making horror stuff
Hmm

@user Reminds me of a supermarket sequence from a delightfully creepy mid-grade fantasy book I read last year

3:26 AM
@user lol interesting idea ngl, would it be like a puzzle or what

idk, maybe the basement has another note telling you it's ROT-13?

nah i think ppl could find that out easily

Yeah you're right
idk, maybe a decoder ring left behind by someone?

hmm maybe, but i feel like it would be a pain to decode it, especially during a suspenseful horror game. kinda kills the mood

Nah I'm not thinking a code

3:30 AM
i was thinking maybe like it just suddenly becomes deciphered as the game goes on? like at first the notes are like scribbles, but then as things become more and more creepy, some of the notes just become readable. (but then u would need to have a reason to go back to the notes in the first place)
maybe those notes are like a key part of the game, it guides u as u progress or smth

They start out normal, like shopping lists left by accident, then later they're notes written between two coworkers discussing worries behind their manager's back, then frantic notes to loved ones
Then it's just profanity and words that cut off suddenly and letters that turn into jagged streaks across the rest of the paper

dang that would give me the chills

@user lmao
A horror game drawn like SE Nitro
I gtg to sleep o/

bye
this should really be a real game ngl, it would be a blast to play it if made well

@DLosc i'm thinking maybe, to have a level of interactivity to make its non-gameness nontrivial, it could be structured as some kind of sandbox, except every modification you can make to the world is meaningless at best, barely perceptible, and can only build on itself in any way at all through monumental effort

6:47 PM
At first it looks like a computer game, but under the veneer of cute animations and sound effects it's actually just a Malbolge interpreter :P
