6:41 PM
hyper-neutrino has unfrozen this room.

it's almost time

It begins

still contemplating if i want to be competitive this year or not

It's a good sign that I actually understand some of the stuff I wrote last year
I'd do it in vyxal but speed issues

6:56 PM
i was considering it lol
but i am bad at vyxal

If I'm using vyxal, I'm running the online interpreter locally

i'm worried i'll get fucked by dos issues again lol
last time first day i couldn't even submit for like a minute
oh the ascii art this time looks
interesting
CGCC leaderboard: 383923-1cc3bff3
7

Hopefully eric deals with the dos issues
Although... it only has to deal with 100k people for a few days

i think i'll aim for 5th again
higher is probably unrealistic but i think i can probably get the same as last year?
honestly not sure i might be rusty since most of my coding in the past year has been large scale projects and not solving puzzles or stuff

I think I'll aim for 1923rd.

Something possibly useful for anyone going for time: I wrote a userscript to a) copy code blocks on click and b) automatically paste into the answer box on submit

3 hours later…
9:44 PM
never done this before but ill try it this year

9:55 PM
Probably want to choose a language

my personal recommendation is always python if you're familiar with it
TBH main (only?) reason being you do not have to worry about integer overflow and stuff like that

JS is also nice - reasonably fast and you can run it in the console

yeah JS would be my personal second choice

10:24 PM
Main downside is infinite loops freeze it

oh I wouldn't be using browser JS in that case lol
