Q: Can chat get a redesign? Please?

cocomacI considered posting this on Meta SE instead of Ask Ubuntu Meta, but because several of these are Ask Ubuntu specific, I went with here. That said, I think the rest of SE chat should get an update, but that is a separate question. The chat design is rather... inconsistent with the main site. And,...

I'm not able to edit any post D: "You have too many pending edits. Further edits cannot be submitted until prior edits have been approved."

@someone does the comment I made in reply help? if you have questions I'm here now (I'm usually easiest to find on IRC in Ubuntu rooms (teams I'm involved with, ie. news, bugs, lubuntu etc but also discuss, offtopic too)

@guiverc Oh! I saw your reply now, you didn't ping me, right? Yeah, I understood the concern.

Sorry I didn't; my mistake sorry.

No problem :D

I did some edit reviews; a couple were yours, but no idea if I was first/second thus may have not cleared you for more edits, but thank you @someone for your dedication & work :)

:)
@guiverc I only got 1 edit cleared, and ASAP I edited another post. So now I am again stuck on that message. :|

one then likely my approval was the 2nd; other(s) I was 1st... I just entered 'edit queue' & random posts awaiting clearance are offered; so it was random what I actually saw/reviewed..

This edit was approved recently by you. @guiverc
Almost all my edits are approved by @guiverc and @karel Thanks for being so much active in edit reviews.

top right of my browser window I have review clues.. as your rep increases you get more 'privileges' & get to see more (you'll get it soon enough I believe!).. I just used the 'suggested edits' queue which causes random edits to show
I don't use queues much (I can't read much on my normal window size), but if I view a page and see edit pending; that's when I review edits (not via queues normally... I only entered queue as you specifically mentioned it)

@guiverc Yeah, I'll reach 2k in a few days :P

:)
another couple reviewed

@guiverc Good! +2 for more users :)
It feels so good to see this: +65

How many hats did you get?

I see 9... (8 on au, 1 on unix/linux)

I got 13 hats! (10 on AU and 3 on MSE)

well done !

6:11 AM
:)
I thought I got 14 but now I checked again it is only 13 :|
meta.stackexchange.com/questions/374211/…. If you are a less than 2k user then the question I linked is worth seeing. (This question gave me 3 hats :)

thanks for posting @someone (I'll have to review late; busy with support elsewhere..)

Okay :)

OMG, I got 2 more hats at meta stack exchange only because of 1 upvote.

What will happen to this account, the person who created the account asked a spam question addressing his site and then never came back!

I need help. Despite attempts, am not able to get dual boot option between Ubuntu 20.04 and Windows 10 on startup. I tried boot-repair (recommended setting), to no result, and the pastebin file is now not opening. Tried changing bootorder in bios, and in terminal, no result.

@someone If someone who is a mod notices, and feels like it... they'll nuke em
@katyasehgal Generally chat isn't a 'great' place to get assistance. I do realise there's multiple questions about it - but you might want to look through them, and ask your own, referencing what you tried and how and why it didn't work

9:22 AM
@JourneymanGeek my work is at halt, and I have tried every other thread.
@JourneymanGeek ill try that then, and hope for a solution

Every is a very broad thing. The point of suggesting a question is it pretty much both lets you work through all you've tried, and clearly helps set out to others what that is so they don't rethread the same work

I agree, but multiple solutions all over the internet confuse people. I have posted the question here:

Q: G98 [GeForce 8400 GS Rev. 2] NVIDIA driver causes system to hang

Walker RoweIs NVIDIA going to fix this driver problem? I had to use the generic driver because the NVIDIA one caused the system to hang on boot. This causes problems in Firefox where the browser shows a pixilated section of the screen. And Chromium is not stable. How do I monitor for when NVIDIA will fix...
