Quantum advantage in learning from experiments by Hsin-Yuan Huang, Michael Broughton, Jordan Cotler, Sitan Chen, Jerry Li, Masoud Mohseni, Hartmut Neven, Ryan Babbush, Richard Kueng, John Preskill, and Jarrod R. McClean
Is there a caveat, and if yes, what is it? Or rather, what is the crucial resource used here to get those exponential improvements over the classical learning setup? Yes, you need quantum memory, and this is crucially important. But anything else? Sort of, I guess. The preparation procedure for the quantum state seems to be pretty "accurate", and especially "accurately repeatable".
