The serial voting script is set up to enforce certain rules. Suggesting that we should work backwards from a false positive to determine how we should act is putting the cart before the horse.
you're not asking for the system to change, you're not saying the system should have let you done this thing, you were just asking whether the reversal can be undone. it cannot.

Like, you may want to go circumvent them anyway, I can't stop you and that's not my business. I'm not defending the way the system works either.
I mean, you specifically advocated not downvoting bad posts. Saying "you should only downvote some" is the same as saying "you shouldn't downvote some"
@RevenantBacon You are asked to not start a cat and mouse game with the site's anti-abuse systems. If that means leaving a few questions undownvoted (and merely closed) waiting for a fix, that's a relatively small price to pay
