Hi, concerning the Sapir–Whorf hypothesis, I read in Wikipedia that "Researchers described differences between bilinguals and monolinguals in perception of color, representations of time and other elements of cognition.". What would be an example of this?
I speak both French (native language) and English. I was thinking of something simple like "I'm hungry" and "J'ai faim" (wfw to have hunger). They use different auxiliary verbs (to be, to have). Does that change something in the way you view the world when you rely on one auxiliary of the other to describe hunger? Is that in the ball park as Sapir–Whorf?
Thanks.
