Caffeine is used in practically everything, it's hardly a drug any more. It's almost along the same lines as vitamin pills the way it's pumped into every carbonated drink..
Break-fast? What is this thing?
Not a breakfast person myself, I just dive straight into the day and see what happens.
though I did it that for dinner (twice, but the second was vegetarian :\)
most likely I took the scrambled egg with bacon, but at the third day I woke up rather 'nauseas' because we were drinking beer in the hotel lobby till 4 :P
I went to a restaurant in Scotland once, there was a couple of Romanian girls at a table near us who asked what haggis was. The waitress thought for a few moments and replied, rather tactfully, "If you don't know what it is then chances are you don't want it..."
> Haggis is a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally simmered in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours. Most modern commercial haggis is prepared in a casing rather than an actual stomach.
seriously, I had the idea most of it was just the onion and oatmeal
besides, the latter sentence is quite important :P
f/e, it dawned on me after asking the question that it was mostly pointless because (a) I haven't read it yet and (b) I don't have a copy of the book handy (well, I could go in to DB to get it I suppose...)
Like any other Apple product, OS X prides itself on the little details. When, earlier last week, I used my professor's Mac briefly to give a quick project presentation (mine decided to do a chkdsk at the wrong time, heh), I got the distinct feeling some were put intentionally to make the uninitia...
It might be relevant, as there might be program-specific locations to save your fonts. Placing those fonts in C:\Windows\Fonts will slow you boot time and programs like VLC.
I'm curious for all your Mac users out there which virtualization software you use and why? I've been a VM Ware user for Windows for years and have been running Parallels on my Mac (mainly because VM Ware was in Beta when I got Parallels).
I'm curious if many folks have had experience with both...
Since today ImageShack has started showing the the generic frog image with a message "Unregistered domain. Go to http://imageshack.us to register". Why is this coming up ?
so how does it tell if it's a fraud? For example the other day it appeared that someone was going through my questions and upvoting... I received a lot of rep and then it all went back down
I don't think the exact limits which they base themselves up are available, but I suppose that if 1 person upvotes you X time and X is above a limit Y, then the gained reputation will be cut back towards a given Z to prevent that person from boosting you a lot.
@Sathya Thanks... I wonder what happened on Dec 10th - is there anyway to see what questions were involved? ... And I don't mind but I wonder why Studiohack did that :S
I forget when it was... but maybe that was the night I went over 50k!
I'm rising in the rep ranking >=D I will overcome Diago soon, I will be the ruler of the galaxy! Muaha
Okay, that was weird
Lol!

Hi,
I am trying to find out the pronunciation of a computer term, but since it is (mostly) a poll-type question, I figured I would ask for advice first in order to avoid getting raped by the seemingly ever-increasing aggressive people on the SE sites. :-|
What I wanted to do was to simulate a p...
a lot of the books are completely out dated... dos programming/c/c++/assembly stuff which I never really heavily got in to... and a hell of a load of distributor price guides which I really need to chuck out
I'm loving wxPython @Mokubai and with the book, you should be able to get going really quick. Only downside for me is that I can't find good examples of UI's doing exactly the same as I want to do

I recalced the first page or so of users, since you guys have a lot of rep, and so are more likely to have higher rep levels than many users, because you answer a lot more and as a result, more of your answers are deleted, etc...
Is "homework question" a good reason to close something? I really don't feel right about having us do someone's homework for them, but at the same time some of those questions do have value here.
Hello,
I've started the basic of computer networks at college and i am in doubt about how to use the "route add". The professor gave us this scenario:
Machine 1 (M1) with the ip address 192.168.1.1/24 (/24 = netmask 255.255.255.0)
Machine 2 (M2) with two network cards:
-- first ip address: 19...
@DMA57361 This particular one kind of also falls under the category of "JFGI/LMGTFY bait". Aren't we possibly getting something like that as a close reason soon-ish?
