The idea is you don't process the input step by step like with most procedural langs, which is what calling implies. Instead you tell it what things mean so it can do it

@Lyxal I hope someone is able to answer with a good way to do this. My patchwork way is usually just to write the interpreter in the header, and then call main in the footer, and just hide the two, so that the code can be written in the code box and the header/footer ignored...
I dropped the link to the Sandbox room after this message, because the conversation could very easily devolve into people just sending super long messages of "Hahah" or "lol", which is defintely spammy

I totally see where you're coming from; it makes a lot of sense. I'm also more than sure lots of other people will, and do, feel the same way. I'm afraid I just don't have it in me to moderate that sort of silliness
@cairdcoinheringaahing Another idea would be to maybe make others of you owners, which I should probably do anyway, and let you moderate the stricter way, which I'm sure many people like Monday-Thursday, and then have it be laid back Friday-Sunday
Which I would then add to the rules in the description

Ok. IMO, there's nothing wrong with having a bit of fun. Chef's messages highlighting how much Avi says Haha are off-topic, but they're the odd message, not disrupting any conversation and are a fun joke. After that, leaning into the joke with the long Haha message is again, fine. It's a welcome bit of humour. But it also can easily descend into spamming and noise. I linked the Sandbox as a response to Chef's message, as a pointer, saying "if you want to experiment with chat, do it there, not here" as there is a specific room for random messages and messing around. But I want to reiterate that if it ever seems like it's just getting out of hand anyway, I'm open to ideas and more than happy to implement the 'weekend off' idea with people in @cairdcoinheringaahing's boat having the reigns the longer half. Next time, try to guess what the conversation is going to be about and post the title to A Bit of Fun before the conversation actually happens. Even better: first post the title, then start the conversation.

I don't want conversations or people to feel trashed, so when I move them, I'll bookmark the convo and name it by theme. That way it can still be found, like a table of contents of the silliness that went on here
I'll move the other silly things above eventually, but there's honestly a lot of other stuff I should be doing right now. Just came on to try and make peace before anyone got frustrated :)

I often enjoy silly off-topic conversations which are still tangentially related, though. So it seems to me having a dedicated room is a good idea so we can move there when it happens. And if silly conversations can be moved, there should be less harsh feelings about them happening (when there's no on-topic anyway)
