@barlop When you enter a place online, it's a good idea to look around a bit to get a feel for what the place is about and what the rules are. You clearly didn't do that here.
and normally if a newcomer posts something in the room that shows first and it's not relevant somebody points them to the room that they could ask in, particularly if they ask.
so this is all within norms.

This is all I have to say to you, @Bill. When you misrepresent (are dishonest about) our consensus, and mutual admissions of fault over time, to the general math.se community, as you did yesterday on meta, I can no longer trust you. I will hereby ignore you in chat.
@amWhy I am not aware of any "dishonesty". Possibly there was some misunderstanding on what was meant by the prior "truce". But I did not expect it to mean that you would restart your unfounded personal attacks again on meta, and then continue them above here. This is quite disappointing. But I am still wiling to forget and forgive and agree to the prior-proposed truce. If you wish to continue discussion please set up a chatroom since it is quite off-topic here.

@Bill I spoke honestly about what I was observing on that meta thread. That you attacked me personally, and dishonestly, for doing so is on you. I am willing to forgive you and forget, but you've got to own up to your own roll in the conflicts between us. You seem unable to do so, as evidenced by your dishonest two posts addressed to me in that thread, since deleted, thanks to the mods.

But your recent vicious attacks on me on meta - calling me a troll etc because of my deep conviction about mathematical pedagogy and its place in the word - certainly violates your proposed truce. Thankfully the mods removed that and your other off-topic attacks. I hope the same will occur here. These have no place in rational argument. They are off-topic here too. Please stop.
