-1; this answer only solves a small portion of the question and thus does not make significant progress toward completing it — PiIsNot3 41 mins ago
@PiIsNot3 is 25% not significant???

@OmegaKrypton Maybe I was being a bit harsh, but given the formulation of the problem, I really felt that more of the steps needed to be solved for it to count as partial

@PiIsNot3 it's fine, im working on the other parts, maybe you can un-1 afterwards ;)

@OmegaKrypton If that's the case, then I would be worried about appearing as if you were rep-grabbing, because you posted fairly early and only found one of the solutions

@PiIsNot3 nah, it's just showing the progress. giving only 1-5 cryptics in like 60+ is too few progress (i admitted doing that before that meta post)
but imo 20% is a good benchmark tbh

Still, only solving one question isn't necessarily a good look, especially since the questions are all related
Maybe I'll retract my downvote but I won't change it to an upvote either

nevertheless, this is a community, and i understand that you may have different views. so your -1 was well accepted. in fact, i'm working on it now ;)

inspiration for coming puzzle:

I've been wanting to do another crossword puzzle. But not one that is too simple, one that is a little hard. Equal parts hard to simple, you know what I mean? Not a cryptic-type format, those have been so done, and not a Regex-type crossword, also. I want to do one that is different, but the same...

I'll see if I can explain the Nurikabe, but probably not

i wont bother honestly
;P
but go try, id upvote if i see it

It's a tough one to explain logically, you can only do so up to a certain point, then you gotta use your intuition

exactly

In particular, I don't know how to construct an argument for the entire bottom row to be shaded

as it happens i have a written explanation for that one so if nobody figures it out i can post a self-answer at some point :)

the thing with puzzles like nurikabe is that you can often just "see" the correct answer without being able to show that it's the only possibility
