When trying to find duplicates of certain topics, does stack search interpret lim _{n\to\infty} f(n) = ... between $ signs as tex code? For instance, how would one try to find https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/3348516/if-a0-prove-that-lim-a1-n-1/3348533#3348533
from search? Typing some expected expression like \lim a^{1/n} = 1 in math mode does not detect it for me.

@AlvinLepik I have moved your question to this room, it seems that if fits better to the topic of this room.
I will first point out the proposed FAQ post: How to search on this site?
When searching for mathematical expressions, my first choice would be probably Approach0. For example, I'd search for $\lim_{n\to\infty} a^{1/n}$ or for $\lim_{n\to\infty} \sqrt[n]a$.
For example, in this case maybe trying questions tagged limits+radicals and choosing the frequent tab might sound as a reasonable idea.
Of course, you could try also built in search (or Google). But the fact that the same expression can be written down in many various ways and with different variable names makes this way of searching more difficult. Some attempts are this search and this search
You could also try to click on "Ask Qustion" and fill in the title (and perhaps the tags) to see what is shown in the list generated by the software. There is a separate post about this on meta: Trying to ask a question provides better results than normal search.

For the specific topic you mentioned you can check Show that $\lim_{n \rightarrow \infty} \sqrt[n]{a} =1$ and other questions linked there.
