JAD
7:42 AM
hmm, didn't know that one-boxes

They have somewhat lesser photos than expected
of flowers

8:06 AM
Good Morning

8:53 AM
@SerenaT Morning :)
@ankiiiiiii Photography have a lot of pictures
G&L is more gardening questions I think
@JAD Yeah, it looks pretty good :O I've got another pale yellow one too

Our cat finally started eating a little again

4 hours later…
12:56 PM
@SerenaT Oh that's good news :)

1:49 PM
@Henders have been there once or twice, the room is full of questions' feeds.
will see again :)
are medicinal advices on topic here?
mating season brings a lot of injuries for dogs.

@ankiiiiiii more often than not, the advice people give is 'see a vet' :/

2:31 PM
It depends - if you can accurately describe the scenario and symptoms then it's easier to diagnose. Often the ones that get asked to see a vet is along the lines of 'my cat stopped eating - why?'
The more detail the better

3:02 PM
@JourneymanGeek for scratches and shallow wounds, we keep butadiene, neomac (Ivermectin), Himax, Gamma spray etc. Ofc, injured dogs or animals and birds are taken to the vet

@ankiiiiiii well, a question like is "foo" safe might get good answers
but one where "my dog is throwing up" might not
IMO, which might be entirely wrong ;p

Pariah barely throws up :p ..
The Indian pariah dog, also known as the Indian native dog, is a landrace of dog native to the Indian subcontinent.Dating back to the Neolithic Era, the Pariah was one of the first dogs to be domesticated by humans. It is easily trainable and often used as a guard dog and police dog.Indian pariah are an example of the pariah-type dogs, an ancient group of dogs that evolved through natural selection. They have erect ears, a wedge-shaped head, and a curved tail. Though most street dogs in the Indian subcontinent are in fact Indian pye-dogs, the names for this breed are often erroneously used to...
I was once walking one, he started eating grass. Guess a way to clean up or willingly throw up, or maybe a particular nutrition-deficiency . He is healthy.. like alpha healthy

ya
they also sometimes know what herbs work
My gran had a local mutt
had kidney failure - was supposedly on death's door...
fella dug some root up, ate it... and... got better

owow!
better than those tents
in The Screening Room, 2 days ago, by Nog Shine
@AnkitSharma Do you know those tents where they give jadi booti? XD
@JourneymanGeek but yeah, it would mostly be about some wound
with age etc

ah
I think yvette has a question for a specific case of wounds
I have a more general one on making life easier for an old dog

3:11 PM
(You) so old that you remember questions

lol
@ankiiiiiii I have only 4 questions on pets

@JourneymanGeek I guessed right, the SO mod.

Q: How to care for a severe wound on horses leg

Yvette ColombCleo came to me in bad shape 7th October 2016. To everyone's distress (including hers), she had a horrific injury on 9th April, 2017. We could not find the cause of the injury, which is disturbing. So we moved her to a new agistment as soon as we could. She cut her front leg through to the bone...

Former pets mod
also was discussed here on how best to handle the... imagery

@JourneymanGeek O_O noice
@JourneymanGeek yeah we too use imgur etc on the group
some people can get discouraged from volunteering

@ankiiiiiii oh I mean inline vs spoilers vs well
I guess bare links are probably the friendliest here

3:16 PM
Okay they are graphic
well thanks! I will search around.. Might ask one this weekend

Yes they are
but entirely necessary

@JourneymanGeek yes I understand :)
Does meta get such off topic questions all the time or is it just me who's new there?

@ankiiiiiii rofl
Its the former
Actually - that's possibly one of the things that made me end up a mod there

you made this your case?

Q: People get lost and crash into meta - maybe we need roadblocks for their safety

Journeyman GeekI used to think that Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog's idea of a survey was a terrible idea - it didn't actually fix anything, and I suspect most folks asking off-topic questions here are drivebys. On the other hand, we end up closing a few questions a day from people wandering in lost, asking utte...

No, I complained a lot about it ;p
And honestly - we need people who complain the right way, everywhere ;p

3:24 PM
@JourneymanGeek that's a real problem, but my immediate thought is that we can stay patient in front of SO
they get the worst, and they need the wizard

@ankiiiiiii eh, I slightly disagree

But downvotes can scare anybody and the only healing is the good comment

Now, historically, the company has focused for ages on SO
And patience after a point gets nothing
and a lot of these folks seem to do this on purpose too :/
annnd the mechanics encourage downvotes to lead to deletions (hence me getting to these ASAP)
In the case of actual tooling, I don't think SO needs it first is a good excuse for anything

@JourneymanGeek whenever I tell my friends about Apple.SE, I start with SO's parent company's children etc ^^'
okay I get it you've defended this point on Meta, I might be at fault now

Which is fine ;p

3:28 PM
@JourneymanGeek o_o, who, why?

@ankiiiiiii a critical part of working out solutions is sometimes seeing the same problem from different eyes
and finding the same solutions seem logical
So I feel "no fault" is good ;p

if it were reddit and I had money, you would get a gold ;p

@ankiiiiiii I got a diamond XD

ooh lit

More importantly, I have a very nice soapbox

3:32 PM
you have hammers?

Well kinda
But at this point - what I'm really playing for is the ability to influence folks
And to slowly try to fix the things I feel are wrong, as much as possible

ooh, it seems I was also at a dead end after that question..
@JourneymanGeek sounds good, works inefficiently ^^'
but better than further loss!

@ankiiiiiii Its all about the long game

:))

lemme give you an example
I am seriously unhappy that folks are scared to get on meta
But I don't like having the blog as the primary source of announcements either
so I talked to everyone involved, posted a meta post and.. it worked well
Eventually folks will realise its not that bad, work out what works, and I don't get 'free' rep any more ;p

3:37 PM
I read mithrandir's post, it was on homepage.
will read yours too..

But the effect I want to see can take months or years

But as M.A.R. also appreciated CM's and Meta veterans' efforts to restore the trust

yup
But that's going to take time and work

they stay online for less time, but at least they come up

and there's always going to be a few people...
M.A.R's good people
always handy in defusing issues

3:40 PM
haha
@JourneymanGeek true..
@JourneymanGeek except blunt which I don't mind

Sometimes you need blunt

it's good to have blunt people around, keep me focused
It's time to put bleach into action
I have to start dinner within 18 minutes or the mess closes, and wash clothes too!
You might have had your dinner by now?

Yes I did
I should be in bed

sun sets early..
what not three hours early!

almost midnight XD

3:45 PM
ooh okay...
early good night!
bye!

naw, got a question to answer ;p

I might upvote later :)
