In Game of Thrones S08E03, when Arya meets
Arya says she was right that
Brown eyes are pretty common but do we know anyone with green eyes that Arya has shut forever?
Holy Shit! I'm only 45 minutes into it but I needed a breather. Whew. I'm not looking at the main boards yet, but I just saw some blue dragon fire on the show. I can't believe no one is here yet! Alright, I'm going back in.
I still don't understand what exactly he was hoping to accomplish during that scene where Theon fights to protect him, because it looked like nothing of any major significance happened besides warging into a flock of birds for a minute and then tapping back in.
It's OK in a semi-dark room, but any glare makes it hard to tell who just bit it.
I'm still not sure about everyone.
My living room doesn't get dark while it's still light outside. It's 10:30 pm and still not quite dark enough. I'll watch the episode again in a half-hour or so. Ain't Alaska grand.
In the books and somewhat in the show it was referred about Azor Ahai being prophesied. But in the latest Game of Thrones episode (S08E03) we see Arya killing the Night King.
However in a past question we discussed all possible candidates but nobody thought about Arya. Does she even fulfill the...
I watch it this morning (french frog here), in a quite dark room, and I struggle to see things time to time, good luck for those who see it in full bright
@Aegon I was upset with the battle plan in episode 2, like "dude? don't you thing walls are usefull?" I thought they were dumb. But actually, I was sumb, walls are useless
@Kepotx Yup, the great Castle of the North. Apparently lacks everything of defensive value
Hot pie should have commanded
Also did you note, they conveniently depleted Dany's army (Well at least till now). Jon's is more or less intact. And Jon's got a dragon too. So Dany is automatically the junior partner?
Lol Lyanna Mormont. I am sorry I shouldn't laugh but some dude on r/Freefolk called it weeks ago that she's gonna fight to delight of all the Lyanna fans who keep hyping her up as a great warrior and then she's gonna die in seconds because she's just a little kid.
Black Harren refused to leave his castle, Argilac the Defiant gave battle in the open, Loren and Mern IX gave battle in the open. Sharra Arryn thought Eyrie can keep dragons out. Only the Rhoynar realised they had to take the third course
@Kepotx Men of dubious loyalties who'd have turned cloaks again if the war turned sour'
I'm mainly talking here about any named characters we know that died in the episode. I was trying to pay attention to see who died but it was so damn dark that I probably missed who and when. Those that I can remember seeing are:
I think there were others and I can't remember if some did die o...
1. Dany did nothing 2. Jon did nothing 3. Bran did nothing 4. Brienne did nothing 5. Jaime did nothing 6. Clegane did nothing 7. NK did nothing 8. Random White Walker dudes did nothing
In Game of Thrones S08E03 ("The Long Night"), the Night King's dragon tore at the one Jon Snow rides (Rhaegal). He falls off of it and we don't see the dragon anymore, is it dead?
Major spoilers for S08E03. Towards the end of the episode, we see that the
We see that the latter simply sits in his wheelchair, looking the former in the eyes and doesn't even lift a finger, when
It seems pretty obvious that Bran couldn't defend himself against anyone,
We do know that h...
It was quite long episode so the count of death may be hard to remember, and between dark and the fact that we jump to other scenes quickly, some are one probably dead
I assumed jon's dragon was dead before the trailer of episode 4
as you said, hard to know when jorah stop breathing in the dark
and the whole melissandre death scene was "just why?"
Hah so they were aware of the damage it would cause for their side if they were risk their persons? But apparently the most important person, by that logic, the NK took no such precautions.
this. They have pletore of wight, they could have killed everything without coming close to bran. This is "The evil guy explain Evil plan while hero untied herself" level
And then died because a tiny little dagger pricked him. Yeah that makes total sense that such a powerful figure could be brought down like a common stableboy. And how convenient that his death kills his army as well. => this also. a bittersweet end (to the battle or to the whole tv show) would be a night king death, without real win from the humans
Yes
In the Inside the Episode video David says the following:
David: I think what was really important for Theon at the end was hearing that thank you from Bran because Bran knows what is going to happen.

> David: I think what was really important for Theon at the end was hearing that thank you from Bran because Bran knows what is going to happen.
Bran knew Arya was going to save him by extending that quote from Theon to Arya
@TheLethalCarrot Yeah, I really liked it as well - I've tried that specific movement before and it was essentially luck as to whether it works against someone experienced but works really well against someone inexperienced
So, was Arya lucky, or did NK just not do much actual fighting?
@Aegon 10/10 from me for filming, the intensity, the tense moments, Tyrion and Sansa, the Hound, Arya's path through the episode, the Lord of Light fulfilments, and the question it raises about ' did the faceless man know this would happen as Melisandre did?'
@TheLethalCarrot yeah, also possible
@Kepotx prophecies are easily misinterpreted - isn't she effectively a sister to the 'rightful' heir to the throne? Oh also just realised that I should add John attacking NK to the above list
@Kepotx To my mind, NK took every precaution, but was bested by a faceless man
In Game of Thrones, everyone who watched the S0803 episode noticed one thing, the episode was so freaking dark, it was almost impossible to see anything.
Audiences were left confused as all hell because the screen was so dark. It was next to impossible to tell who was fighting, who just died ...
Do we know that Arya is the Prince(ss) that was Promised? Yeah, she killed the Night King, but does that absolutely mean that she "brought the dawn"? It isn't dawn yet. I mean, that's the prophecy, the dawn.
In another post on Game of Thrones, it is already discussed that Viserion's breath is a sort of fire. And we have already seen that it is a quite powerful fire
But in episode 3 of season 8, we also see that
I am interested to know about the capabilities and limitations of this sort of fire.
At around 25 minutes into Game of Thrones S08E03 Jon Snow and his dragon (Rhaegal) were resting on the wall of Winterfell when he could have been burning the army of the dead whom the living were fighting and struggling against. Or most importantly, he could have lit up the trench. Why wasn't he...
In Game of Thrones S8 E3, there weren't any scenes where we heard Jon say "Dracarys" and set things on fire, so the question. There was this one scene 15 minutes into the episode where both the dragons sent the dead on fire... but apart from that one scene there weren't any scenes where Jon stepp...
Melisandre came from Asshai to serve Lord Stannis. We were told that she did it because she believed he was the Azor Ahai who'd save the humanity by slaying the encroaching darkness. She even forged (a fake) Lightbringer for him, the heroes' sword which presumably the last Azor Ahai used to bring...
In S8E3 of Game of Thrones, Jon unsuccessfully tries to stop Daenerys from leaving the mountain they are perched on as they watch the Dothraki get chewed up by the undead hordes. In the "Inside the Episode" after, one of the writers states that "the plan" begins to unravel when Daenerys takes off...
What is Bran/Three-Eyed Raven doing in Game of Thrones S08E03 when he goes into GreenSight?
Is he spying on the Night King or is he providing insights into the battle or is he searching for some key information which he has to communicate to the rest of the cast?
In Game of Thrones S8E3, Arya fiercely kills a way lot of wights after which she has to escape from them and enter the library. In the library Arya seems pretty shaken and also not as brave as she usually is. There were around 10 wights or so in the library all of whom she would be able to kill e...
Arya is a skilled assassin, master of stealth and whatnot. However, the area around Bran is mostly clear as shown in earlier scenes. They must have seen something rushing to their leader.
Why did they decide to stay silent?
Why did the Hound comply with Beric and decide to help Arya, when Beric pointed at Arya as she was fighting a lot of the dead?
Did the Hound know his role? Did the lord of light tell him something about this situation? or Did he feel bad for Arya and he decided to help her? Or Is he sticking to...
And I'm starting to wonder if we're completely off with the end of the series - what if Daenerys goes mad? What if she and John get assassinated? It seems like we've all just kind of assumed that the next three episodes will be Daenerys v. Cersei but I've got to wonder, is that actually going to be the case?
I don't really understand why they had the second line using trebuchets and catapults instead of the last line next to the wall, so they could continue to fire.
Feels like it closes down the retreat path having them close to the wall but I don't know. Maybe someone can explain?
Trying to keep the question as spoiler-free as possible, thus the generic wording.
So, in The Long Night, at the end, we see Melisandre
It makes little sense to me that she would do that after managing to survive through the whole battle. She did told Seaworth that she was going to die, when ...
I was always confused with Melisandre and was never sure about the purpose she was serving in Game of Thrones. It seems to me that she had been always serving the Lord Of Light. That's why she had so many visions in flames all this time and had some sort of superpowers. However, she made many mist...
I am not sure how this plays out in the books as I haven't read them, but I just watched the last episode of GoT and it went down like this:
Arya gave her dagger to Sansa at the beginning of the episode before Sansa made her way to the cript.
A whole lot of shit went down.
Arya finds out she i...
In GoT s8 ep3 when Jorah is fatally (?) stabbed defending Daenerys, does the dragon glass blade snap? Rematches it a few times now and can't tell if the full blade is there when pulled out. If not, does that mean Jorah can come back as the new Night's King?
In Game of Thrones S08E03 the Night King threw a spear at Daenerys after she unsuccessfully tried Dragon Fire on him. When the spear reached to Daenerys, we can hear a hurting reaction sound from her, but later she was shown unhurt and the spear was never shown. Even the Night King smirked after ...
In the S08E03 episode of Game of Thrones, we see Daenerys on her dragon standing against the
and the dragon throws flames at them.
This character survives without harm (even smiling a little).
How is that possible?
The whole point of building a castle is that it is an excellent defensive stronghold: the attackers need to climb walls, and the defenders have the high ground and can defend very efficiently using archers, oil, etc.
So what is the reason why the army of the living lined up just outside Winterfe...
