"move any items that have sentimental value to a relative's house." +1 for this! — colmde 20 secs ago

I would think they might prefer you just tell them you're not interested from the start rather than stopping and listening to their thing before walking away anyway - if you do the latter you're wasting their time and breath, as well as getting their hopes up. — colmde 1 min ago

I'd just also like to add that even if the joke isn't hurting, it's a common joke that those vendors probably hear several times a day, which can become super annoying really quickly, so it's still a kindness to not say them (like cashiers hearing "Then it must be free !" if an item doesn't scan; harmless, but annoying with repetition). — MlleMei 1 min ago

A bad headache can happen to anyone. By general rule, if someone doesn't want to do some prearranged activity but offers to reschedule it for some other day is not a sign that they don't want to do it. If she were making excuses to not seeing you she wouldn't offer alternative dates. — Rekesoft 1 min ago

I still want him to ask for that coffee :) I would prefer to just open the line of communication and see if he would meet me half way and follow up with an invite. If not, probably I will just drop it — Storm 2 mins ago

thank you for the discussion! Another way I was thinking is to wait until I start my new job and update my LinkedIn profile. More of a natural timing to interact and catch up. But it could be months and I don’t want to wait any more... I hope I’m thinking straight :) — Storm 1 min ago
