My old one reads slightly lower voltage (by 0.03 to 0.05) under load, possibly due to dirt on the contacts, but otherwise, there is remarkably little variance among these units.
Displayed amperage on all three meters is within 0.002A for up to 1.5A.
My old one has a damaged female connector (in the retaining clips), which is why I got new ones. I'll recycle the old meter.
That old meter was more than two years old, so a bit of calibration drift might have occurred as well.

12:54 AM
Google App Engine, and some related services, like scripts in G Suite (google docs, sheets, etc.) and programs hitting the Google Sheets/Docs API, appears to be down
this is as wide ranging and major an issue as EC2 being down last year, and we're more than an hour into it

But it's the cloud
It never goes down!

1:29 AM
we're just a few minutes away from this google app engine outage running for two hours; they say error rates have "started to reduce" but I still can't do what I'm trying to do

Try adding more cloud!
Or, have you tried turning it off and on again?
Wait, I've spotted the flaw in that one

1:44 AM
I feel sick inside....
I had a few people come to my site from Bing

@bertieb Maybe Luke is... diversifying?

@ThatBrazilianGuy I won't judge him; you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the shekels flowing

2:52 AM
Anybody seen this guy around here lately; as in active?

@Dr.Shmuel Last activity anywhere was in 2013.

> This was my first time participating in Redditgifts and it was amazing! My Santa got me a couple of Mitch Albom books that he loves, and hopes I will too. :D

Since I like travelling subreddits, he got me some beautiful stamps from Bhutan. :')

In the Christmas spirit, I got a mason jar with pretty fairy lights which look really beautiful!

Then, I got a cat pendant since I love my kitties, hahahaha. I love it!!

Thanks a lot. You made my first Reddit Christmas really great! I love everything :D

Q: WordPress 301 Redirects on IIS

BurgiI am really struggling with getting the 301 redirects working on our server after deploying a new website. Everything I have tried has either resulted in a 500 error or just plain not working. Below is the rewrite section excerpt from my web.config file. <rewrite> <rules> <rule name...

HALP!!!!

3:15 PM
Hmmm I'm slowly creeping up on 5k rep
I can't remember when my target was, might of been 2019, maybe 2020.

3:42 PM
@Burgi Some would say you're crazy for running WordPress. The rest would say you're crazy for running WordPress on IIS.

@DavidPostill: I just popped in here to say thank you for the bounty!

@Deltik lol. It's not awarded yet ... :)

4:11 PM
@ThatBrazilianGuy you might say that but the customer insisted on a windows server

@Burgi If I pay a plumber to fix my home and they say I need a certain pipe, I won't argue them. At best I'd argue another plumber or two, and if they say the same, I'd listen to them.

dude we have a windows server, i've suggested a linux box but was told to STFU

4:52 PM

@ThatBrazilianGuy Yeah cept the plumbers actually don't own the house, and burgi's landlord wants a pipe made of cucumber.
So cucumber flavoured water, @Burgi gets.

But the cucumber will rot
And get worse
And poor @Burgi
Will have to suffer and tolerate and make do

!! s/make do/do the needful/

@ThatBrazilianGuy Will have to suffer and tolerate and do the needful (source)

A system he has no control over. A job that pays not enough. A life not worth living.
Let us all give our condolences to @Burgi
//throws three bagfuls of condolences at @Burgi's head

5:04 PM
!!google "pause gifs on firefox"
> Just press ctrl+M (or shift+M) to pause all GIFs on any webpage. When the page has finished loading, hit the same keys again to play the GIFs. The above is enabled by default.
Hmmmm nope.

@ThatBrazilianGuy This works:
Type "about:config" in the address bar.
Click "I accept the risk!" when it comes up.
Find "image.animation" using the search box (just type "anim")
Double-click "image.animation_mode."
In the next box, type ether "once," so the animated GIFs only get one chance to play, or "none" so they never can.
I have none set :)

Yeah. The above snippet is from an article about addons. And it's a non-WebEx (old FF API) addon, still unported.
Ctrl+M actually mutes the tab.
@DavidPostill I wonder if it would be possible to change it via shortcut. Would be nice.

5:19 PM
@ThatBrazilianGuy I used to have an extension for that. It no longer works.

Hm. Bookmarking "about:config?filter=image.animation" works.
Is there a shortcut to open a specific bookmark?

wtf....

Q: Add2PSU and using multiple PSU in a single pc

Terence LeeI have the following: 1 x Add2PSU adapter(generic type, no photo) 2 x PSU(Seasonic Prime Ultra gold @750W. Total wattage output for 5v = 100W@20A per PSU): 1 x Mobo that would be socketed to other components(CPU, M.2 NVME, RAM, PWM fans, AIO): https://i.imgur.com/LoomIXp.jpg https://i.imgu...

this guy appears to be just bragging about his hardware

5:48 PM
