@Unionhawk i was more thinking of the place you wait for your case to be heard, otherwise we could count third party as any country you sail/fly into on your way to the states
assuming ofcause if you don't sail/fly a route that entire international waters/air

@TimStone unless they're dead or been captured. if they're dead then Trump will only pay respect if it's perfectly sunny, the date starts with a 3 and falls on a weekend. if they've been captured.....well Trump says likes his not captured

These three NYPD-protected Trump supporters tailed today’s #OutliveThem /#CancelFascism antifascist march all the way to Warsaw Ghetto Memorial Plaza, where they disrupted the Jewish service. Imagine feeling that much hatred. Imagine being that empty inside. This is why we fight.

1:57 AM
@Unionhawk are all those people the NYPD + 3 Trump Supporters?

I mean technically speaking 3 is likely inaccurate, but 3 non-cop subjects yes

Trump is an obvious example of this, but the alt right has been doing this for years now. They go to spots like reddit with a bunch of teens and make them think news (aka reality) isn't to be trusted.
I saw this shit all the time on r/canada, and it was just subtle backhanded statements like 'I don't trust CBC, but they've got this story right at least'

Just returned from France where much was accomplished in my meetings with World Leaders. Never easy bringing up the fact that the U.S. must be treated fairly, which it hasn’t, on both Military and Trade. We pay for LARGE portions of other countries military protection,........
.....hundreds of billions of dollars, for the great privilege of losing hundreds of billions of dollars with these same countries on trade. I told them that this situation cannot continue - It is, and always has been, ridiculously unfair to the United States. Massive amounts.....
.....of money spent on protecting other countries, and we get nothing but Trade Deficits and Losses. It is time that these very rich countries either pay the United States for its great military protection, or protect themselves...and Trade must be made FREE and FAIR!
He's trying again to shake down Europe for his protection money
It wouldn't actually surprise me if he tried to leave NATO, not sure if he could though

The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!

Defeated GOP lawmaker blames McCain for losing House — in Veterans Day op-ed http://hill.cm/yMIXVxz
This is amazing galaxy brain

7:00 PM
@TimStone lololol
> Rep. Jason Lewis (R-Minn.), who lost his reelection bid to Democratic challenger Angie Craig, wrote in the op-ed that McCain's vote last year to kill a repeal of the Affordable Care Act "prompted a 'green wave' of liberal special-interest money, which was used to propagate false claims that the House plan 'gutted coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.'"

Narrator: The claims were not false

love that 1) bro is from minnesota, not anywhere close to AZ 2) its a blue wave, not a green wave 3) the plan did just that
so trump really got cucked by north korea
It is NOT deception. Kim literally ordered ballistic missiles to be mass produced on New Year’s day 2018. He never offered to stop producing them, let alone give them up. Ever. He is doing exactly what he said he was going to do. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/12/us/politics/north-korea-missile-bases.html
tl;dr: there is a story in NYT that north korea is building up many more bases and missiles
but the lead is that North Korea is acting deceptively, when it was just trump being dumb and not realizing that the "deal" he signed didn't do a damn thing to stop it

@GodEmperorDune It does give me some hope that these fools did at least run on "republicans are actively trying to make it so that sick people can't get health insurance at all" instead of "trump is being communist with vladimir putin"
but like
that is still "I won't kill you but I don't have to save you" batman mindset

7:21 PM
@GodEmperorDune Let's hope South Korea's game doesn't get us all killed 🤷
Trump's fault for being a dumbass but they were like "Ah, yeah, sure buddy, that's uh...mhmm nods"

A white Republican U.S. senator in Mississippi says she will not answer questions about a video that shows her at a campaign event praising a cattle rancher by saying she would attend a "public hanging" if he invited her to one. https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/national-politics/article221522525.html
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeaaah

@TimStone is this the same person?
because whew

She's like "It was just an exaggerated expression" or some crap
And it's like
Yeah
That's the problem
Your selection of expressions includes attending a public hanging
Aside from the racist connotations that's just sociopathic

Like what was even the context to this?
I'm trying to imagine any scenario where this would be not totally fucked
and the only thing I can make work is it was some comment about how that farmer is so kind she'd even attend something as a public hanging if it was as his guest? or something?
but like that's reeeeeeaaaaalllllly stretching it

@Wipqozn That seems to be the intention
Which like, the fact that that was her go to is the whole point!

7:40 PM
> In the brief video, shot Nov. 2 in Tupelo, Hyde-Smith says after a man introduces her to a small crowd: "If he invited me to a public hanging, I'd be on the front row."
i too thank people for an introduction by dropping a domestic terrorism reference

@GodEmperorDune Yeah I saw that part, but was wondering what the farmer said.
@TimStone Okay so it's like, 90% fucked, instead of 110% fucked.
I don't get how you folks haven't all just snapped yet. The GOP is just completely unreal.

I mean at best it's like "Oh yeah I'd totally be on board with him even if he was super into public hangings" which like, BUT WHY???

totally normal event that one would go to if invited
and that one would send invitations for

@TimStone I'm assuming that Mississippi is a death penalty friendly state, which might be why?

every state is that

7:44 PM
I thought a few didn't allow it?

apparently a handful

so i found the original video, but whatever the farmer said is not on it

> A total of 161 who were sentenced to death in the modern era were exonerated before their execution.
Well that's startling
Anyways not what I was here for
keeps looking

"If he invited me to a public hanging, I'd be on the front row"- Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith says in Tupelo, MS after Colin Hutchinson, cattle rancher, praises her. Hyde-Smith is in a runoff on Nov 27th against Mike Espy. https://t.co/0a9jOEjokr
(video is embedded)

> 20 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico have abolished the death penalty for all crimes. Below is a table of the 20 states and the date that the state abolished the death penalty.
Yeah quite a few states have outlawed it

not at all related to anything going on here

7:47 PM
and the supporters are like "yeeeeeeeppppppppppppp"
@Wipqozn its a fun movie but it throws the n word around A LOT

@KevinMKruse @skantrow Well, for starters, Hyde-Smith was born in, and represented, Brookhaven, MS. The last "public hanging" there was in 1928. A mob dragged brothers Stanley and James Bearden, two black men, from the county jail...
Just to be clear though it's absolutely a euphemism for lynching

there was an alleged lynching recently

@GodEmperorDune lol Twitter reminded me of those challenge coins he had made, good times, good times

@Wipqozn rdr2 spoilers, but apparently there's a side quest to do this

i'm forgetting the location but a black lives matter activist was found hung in a tree in the backyard and other local activists are extremely pissed that it was ruled a suicide without much investigation

7:50 PM
Ah, yeah

@Unionhawk yeah I heard about that, via /r/subredditdrama, BECAUSE OF COURSE
@GodEmperorDune I think I heard about.... might have been via you

@Wipqozn yeah i RTed it

@GodEmperorDune a lot of ferguson activists have been found dead with 2 gun shot wounds to the head and a burned car
all ruled regular
since as we all know shooting yourself in the head twice is a thing that one can do

@Unionhawk especially after lighting your car on fire

@Wipqozn you get karma points for killing the guy after you burn his stuff which is extremely good

7:54 PM
I asked Tide about how everyone is saying the Tide box looks like delicious laundry wine. "We all know laundry detergent is for cleaning clothes. To be sure people know this is detergent, we put a large picture of our Tide bottle on the side of the box." https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/tanyachen/boxed-tide-detergent-wine-teens-pods-do-not-eat
THAT IS UNSATISFACTORY

@Wipqozn i just checked and you're not following me, weird

Unacceptable

ehhh @Wipqozn can follow whoever he wants
my TL is kinda a firehose of stuff, its not for everyone
> But also: Bone app the teeth.

@TimStone ah i thought it might be voting shenanigans, thanks for clarifying

@TimStone What the fuck KC you've been doing fairly well

lol oh no Trumpy Bear is back and is also QAnon now

@TimStone the bear is $40

8:08 PM
@TimStone how.... how is this real?

YOU CANNOT DEFEAT THE STORM

> The incident inspired a famous Washington Post cartoon by Clifford Berryman showing Roosevelt nobly refusing to kill the cub; it elides the fact that one of Roosevelt’s companies then killed the bear with a hunting knife. The cartoon inspired the merchants Morris and Rose Michtom to create the teddy bear, which became a bestselling toy.
goddamn

@TimStone ??? South Korea's game?
@TimStone Of trying not to be the first victim when we instigate a war with North Korea?

Moon is definitely attempting to play Trump's stupidity to his advantage here, for otherwise valid reasons but it's still not like they weren't misrepresenting the situation to get him to go along
@GodEmperorDune lol, these folk are prime targets for grifts
Also we might be living in an American Dad storyline, it kind of checks out

@Unionhawk Did not know about this until now.

Researched and also found this:
Missouri Executive Order 44, also known as the Extermination Order, was an executive order issued on October 27, 1838, by the Governor of Missouri, Lilburn Boggs. The order was issued in the aftermath of the Battle of Crooked River, a clash between members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (known as Mormons) and a unit of the Missouri State Militia in northern Ray County, Missouri, during the 1838 Mormon War. Claiming that the church members had committed open and avowed defiance of the law and had made war upon the people of Missouri, Governor Boggs directed that "the Mormons...

@TimStone i mean an overpriced creepy bear isn't a grift necessarily

Counterpoint tho it's sold on TV so probably

ehhhh

I still can't believe it has the hair though as a feature and no one's like "Hmm maybe this is demeaning to Trump?"

8:25 PM
i mean it's the "trump will keep you safe" promise taken literally

I think grift might be an overly strong word for what I meant, actually
Like, it's just something that doesn't need to exist but likely exists because it combines an existing thing with cult attachment
It's very likely the creator (not the company here, who tbh are probably grifters because they're an exposure network) thinks what they did is awesome and worthwhile or whatever

@TimStone yeah that i agree with

@TimStone afaik this was the same ad as last year

Yeah, seems so
And actually tbf to the creator teddy bear would have sounded dumb at the time too I guess. Damn you language and your weirdness shakes fist

at least that was like
an original thing

8:42 PM
True, having a flag shoved inside the bear's orifices isn't even new right? I think there's a whole line of pet toys a la pillow pets that do that or something
It does raise some questions about the backstory, but
Meanwhile, as Scott, DeSantis, Trump, Rubio and the rest of the GOP gang call for the Broward election supervisor's scalp, the supervisor for Bay County (R+25) accepted some votes by email, in complete violation of all Florida election law. https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/politics/political-pulse/os-bay-county-email-votes-20181112-story.html
So my understanding here is that we should essentially concede that Ayyadurai invented email and then immediately imprison him for having done so

@TimStone always projecting their CRIMES
@TimStone i too assume that emails from floridavoter124376576342542@gmail.com are legit
thats how write in candidate President mcPresidentFace won the county

Can't wait for 2020 where we have a court case over whether an emailed-in vote for Trumpy Bear meant the literal stuffed animal or was being cute

my favorite part of this whole mess is that it ends up being "go back to drivers ed but for lawyers" kris kobach's fault

10:10 PM
BREAKING: Roger Stone pal Jerome Corsi tells my colleague @annaschecter that Mueller's investigators informed Corsi about a week ago he will be indicted for perjury. "When they have your emails and phone records...they're very good at the perjury trap," he says.
i haven't really seen a good explanation of this "perjury trap", to me it sounds like people doing crimes are assigning magical power to the criminal justice system that forced them to lie under oath

@GodEmperorDune Some people are so used to lying that they feel they should be constitutionally allowed to lie.
Something something free speech I dunno I'm half making stuff up.
I mean, the obvious solution here is "don't do bad things that you could perjure yourself trying to cover up" but I think the salient point is that you might not have the worldview that maybe doing whatever you want in your own self-interest could possibly be a bad thing.

1) don't talk to cops
2) detective pikachu is not a cop
3) only talk to detective pikachu

@GodEmperorDune It's not necessarily relevant to this case, but I think there is a thing where police will encourage you to remember details of something you don't actually remember that well, and then use that to catch you in an inconsistency.
Witnesses are notoriously unreliable, and it's easy to get people to invent information or even remember specific things to fill in holes in memory

Which is why number one advice for interacting with the police is to avoid interacting with police at all costs until you have a lawyer present.

@murgatroid99 seems dickish to punish people for stuff like this
i would assume that a perjury indictment is more than "i said the thing happened on a tuesday, but it happened on wednesday"

10:22 PM
I don't know if they use it specifically to lead to perjury charges, but maybe also stuff like poking holes in alibis

@GodEmperorDune You'll find that the judicial branch is very similar to the executive branch in that a lot of things are kept running based on everyone having some kind of common sense.
Like this would technically be perjury but most judges wouldn't bother to try it because a perjury conviction has some pretty serious consequences.
Actually, never mind.
I take that back.
> The court uses the Dunnigan-based legal standard to determine if an accused person, "[T]estifying under oath or affirmation violates this section if she gives false testimony concerning a material matter with the willful intent to provide false testimony, rather than as a result of confusion, mistake, or faulty memory."
So the prosecution would then have to prove that the witness said it happened on a Tuesday on purpose in order to confuse the investigators.

material matter too

Basically if it happening on a Tuesday or Wednesday was pivotal for a case, like determining whether someone has a valid alibi or not.

@GodEmperorDune this should be pinned
and possibly edited as a text link so that people know it's not just some random url

This is what we know: Starting at 2018-11-12 21:12 UTC Nigerian ISP AS37282 'MainOne Cable Company' leaked 212 @google prefixes to China telecom. Causing traffic to be redirected and dropped. Leaked BGP Paths via Tier1 ISP NTT disappeared at 22:32 UTC.
Ahhh BGP
China slurping up some Google traffic, good stuff
@GodEmperorDune His defense fund is just a link to his PayPal and there's a very good chance he's just running a scam

@TimStone And that coincided with the YouTube outage people mentioned in the Bridge

Yep

@Memor-X Why pinned?

@TimStone florida man is my favorite superhero
@Ash yeah i don't think we need to pin news of the day or anything
we could probably unpin @badp's links to election results too, now that it's out of date
> He spray-painted a few chairs, the bongos and a pickle jar, but his handiwork was barely noticeable, manager Amanda Kitto said. Everything was put back so neatly, in fact, it was four hours before anyone noticed he had been there.
also he brought his own cup noodles
this florida man is great imo

@Ash because it's important and so that people will see it on the star board on the very top

THERE ARE TWO FLORIDA MEN

user15026
@Memor-X I don't think it's that important, to be honest?

11:42 PM
@Ash fair enough

user15026
Like he was a dude that did decently big stuff, but I don't think it is worth a two week pin or however long they last

TIF pins are also different from bridge pins
i don't think we pin much other than the "don't post fake news/hate sites news" thing months ago
anyway back to the most important florida news
> The man also tried unsuccessfully to access the safe using his hands, a pot handle and tongs.
(this was bad florida man, not naked ramen/bongos/chill florida man)

@Memor-X I'd honestly prefer TMZ not to be pinned and starred.
But that's me.
