@GodEmperorDune yeh, Grinding exp was pointless because enemies and bosses scaled with you. magic either came from points on that map that had to refill or from enemies who scaled with you. really no indication for your limit break and even with Aura still was random to get, lack of fulfilling sidequests

things i did like mechanics wise was the GFs and the Double/Triple Status

@Unionhawk Yes sir, but I think all it really did was let you manage your inventory and give you a special quest. There was no real reason for it.

It's just that if the only option for coach coop is "Everyone needs a switch", then it'll really limit my playing options with local buddies.

In fact there's probably only one local buddy that I'd be able to manage to do a full coop playthrough with if that's the case. A few other buddies might buy it, but making regular switch get togethers with them would be more tricky.

Basically the folks I played the original one with don't have switches, and wouldn't buy them just for this.

but fi there's coach coop, all 3 of them are in for reliving that fantastic experience

@Ave Well, they test every boss on the beta and PTR in heroic, most of the bosses in LFR and mythic, and then they test internally

They used to have some OP items that made them unkillable, but after a GM accidentally gave one of them to a player who then used it, they turned all those items into trash

those are difficulty tiers. LFR is essentially a tourist mode which misses some abilities. Normal is for pugs and groups of friends who are less about the challenge and more about playing together, Heroic is something for organized groups and Mythic is the hardest content in the game balanced for a fixed raid size

As in, for Mythic, you need 20 players and Blizzard expects that guilds can and will swap out different classes and specs to gain an edge

It released in US on Tuesday, on EU on Wednesday, and Fetid Devourer is the 5th boss in the raid (or rather, the last of the 3 "to choose" bosses after the first 2).

It's essentially a throughput challenge. The boss spawns 2 small adds and 1 big add every 1:20 and you have roughly 15-20 seconds to kill both of the small adds and 40 seconds to kill the big add

if you don't kill any of the adds before the boss eats them, the boss regains 30% HP

Once the boss reaches half health, he takes 50% more damage, so essentially, you want to get him there between the second and 3rd add stage, then kill the 3rd stage and rush down the boss

They had some problems where they just barely missed the DPS check on the adds, and they decided to use a consumable item on some of their players which gives extra DPS, healing and damage reduction on a certain boss

Once they did that, they killed the boss the next attempt

@Ave now, about testing: there are still a few bugs in the game. One of the guilds had one of their healers fell through the floor at 10% HP, leading to a 3% wipe

And you also need to have luck on where the adds spawn. There are 6 different places for adds to spawn, and if they are spread out, it's a lot harder to kill them in time. Method had 3 spawns near each other on their kill attempt

There are also a couple extra mechanics that complicate stuff: a debuff that you need to spread out with, a knockback that messes up positioning and a random target cone breath attack that oneshots you if you stand in it

On the one hand, it's recognized that Peter is way more powerful than anyone in his rogues gallery, to the point where it was a big part of Superior Spider-Man when Doc Ock realized just how much Peter's been holding back. On the other hand, it's canon that Peter's habit of constantly throwing out terrible jokes during combat is to help to cover for the fact that he's basically scared out of his mind the whole time.
