This paper is pretty fun if you are into Haskell's type stuff.
It's actually Girard/Reynolds instead of Hindley/Milner but in the end it ends up applying.

@CatWizard I should read that, it's a well known paper but I haven't got around to reading it yet.
I did read this paer about [type variables in patterns[(arxiv.org/abs/1806.03476) yesterday, a view into what is likely to be coming in a future GHC version
hopefully they implement appendix B, then we will effectively have the big lambda of system F.
