@DoubleAA I think I'm for closure as well, only because the FAQ says: " If you can imagine an entire book that answers your question, you’re asking too much."
@HodofHod It's not worded very well, but basically asks for how to increase ahavas Yisrael. A book could be written on it, but the same is true of many of our questions which also are suitable for the site because smaller answers fit fine.

@ShmuelBrin Aww, I remember going to that. Got too bored with watching the concert on screen, so I walked down to E New York and offered to help with the game booths in the fair. Ended up running the whole thing. Good times :D

@ShmuelBrin, when I was growing up, my parents used to get donation requests from various tz'daka organizations. One was titled (in part) Rabbi Meir Baal Hanes (sic). eventually they got wise, changed it to Haness. :-)
Jews are slowly moving into brownsville, and are also moving across Eastern Parkway (which is IIRC Bed-Stuy). People are still scared to live there, but there is definitely a move there. I also heard that Satmar is expanding from Williamsburg from the north, so it may end up meeting together.
An idea for badges: stylized crowns.
In Avot 4:13, the image of a crown is used in a generalized sense to indicate status (priesthood, sovereignty) and achievement (Torah, good name):

@msh210 I agree. Coins are fine, leaves are fine, and I hadn't seen the flame suggestion before now but that's also fine. If you go with coins (like the current badges) you can always change later, or not. FWIW, I didn't even know the badges were customizable until @Jin mentioned it; I assumed we all got coin-like circles.

I just got a notification for a flagged post (here, I presume). It asked me to choose "valid" or "invalid" but I didn't know whether the subject was the post or the flag (spam/objectionable). So I dismissed it without acting. For future reference, which is it?
It's exactly the same as the flags list on the main site. You can see what posts have spam/offensive flags and add your own if you like; posts are killed when they get to six flags. The only reason it seems different is on the main site you need to go to a special page to see the list, but on cha...
@MonicaCellio It's only happened to me twice I think. Remember that your chat rep is the combined one of all the other sites, so you can pass boundaries without realizing it.

@MonicaCellio I think you mark the flag as valid if you agree with the flagger, but I've never handled a main-site flag. Any thoughts @msh210 @HodofHod who are in the room?
