@Mithrandir24601 Remember I told you I had requested the SE guys to disassociate my chat account (along with the PhysicsSE)? They did that after nearly 2 months!

user253190
I didn't want the earlier contact information to be trace-able. Anyhow, it's good that they've done it now.

@Blue Ahh, OK fair - do you want me to delete that message I posted in hbar?

@Mithrandir24601 Well, if you wish :)

Q: No-cloning theorem and distinguishing between two non-orthogonal quantum states

TheAmazingKitchenI'm currently reading Quantum Computation and Quantum Information and I'm not sure if I correctly understand this exercise (on page 57) : Exercise 1.2: Explain how a device which, upon input of one of two non-orthogonal quantum states $\left|\psi\right>$ or $\left|\phi\right>$ correctly ident...

Q: How to implement the 4 Bell states on the IBM Q (composer)?

JanVdAI would like to simulate the 4 "Bell States" on the IBM composer? How can I best implement those 4 Bell states using the existing set of gates ? Here below you see the definition of the 4 Bell states. The first bell state can be easily implemented on the composer through a Hadamard gate and ...

@Blue I've also added you back as RO of problem solving

@Mithrandir24601 Thanks! It's weird that chat account dissociation causes removal of previously created events without leaving any trace. Probably a bug. Anyhow, I suppose those who had already registered earlier (@JamesWootton @user1271772 @AndrewO @agaitaarino) will be made aware, once they notice the community bulletin.

:45025093 ?!? have no idea what youre doing with "chat account dissociation" it makes no sense to me & had major impact on hbar transcript making it hard to follow

@vzn I'm not really the one who did it, vzn (it's the SE team). Had some issues with my profile, today. It should be fine from now onwards.

@Blue it seems to be the direct result of your request. its exactly what you said it was. "a chat account dissociation". would like to understand what happened but from your statements am guessing youre not in the mood to explain it in detail.

Anonymous
@vzn I am willing to explain it in detail, but not here

vzn
@Blue (almost) all SE rooms are public, maybe you mean not on SE chat? dont see the need for that myself

@vzn Here's a short version. Apart from that I had some privacy concerns, as some users (whom I'm not willing to name) tried to contact me via Facebook and other social media (using the contact details I had earlier shared) and pestering me with questions. I'm not very comfortable with random people on the Internet contacting me, so I had requested the SE team to dissociate my chat account.

Q: Wanted to know about quantum programming(algorithm) basic ?

Vashisth MalikI am just started studying about quantum computing and wanted to know more about . I know little bit about qubit and wanted to understand how we write programme in superposition state qubit .

@Blue do sympathize but still not really following, it seems you could just change the SE profile somehow. if you shared the contact info in chat, that can be deleted by mods. also, presume you didnt delete your facebook/ other accts. anyway though, have seen other situations similar to this in chat over the years, but for me, no less annoying.

8:43 PM
It's true that mods can delete chat messages, sure. It's also true that if a user wants disassociation, the user gets disassociation, no reason required. I'm not sure if this is because of GDPR or not but it's there regardless

Q: How do I show that a two-qubit state is an entangled state?

nbroThe Bell state $|\Phi^{+}\rangle = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}(|00\rangle + |11\rangle )$ is an entangled state. But why is that the case?

@Mithrandir24601: Have you deleted comments or not? i.e. is my assumption correct?
