@Memor-X Fun fact: you could on Win7-Win8.1 IIRC. You can also do it yourself with CSS in a lot of Linux distros. (I wonder why Windows/Mac don't support fully custom themes)
@Proxy well if you played platforms in the past you might notice now-a-days you tend to miss jumps because of the tighter character hitbox and controls
@ASCII-only i know with Windows 7. i have a Sono Hanabira theme. i have a screenshot of it here somewhere
@ASCII-only you can technically use p/invoke calls to set all the properties of apps to what you want, including background images, transparency and just about anything really
idk if they have a slower than default update ring, but maybe that could be an option for me
I still prefer the look and feel of aero glass tho
anyway
I've been thinking about high fps monitors lately
normal fullhd displays like mine are 5-7k rubs now
I got my first one for about 14k back in 2010 or so
then when it broke a couple years back, another one for about 11k
now it goes for 7k
a 144hz version goes for 15k
now the IPS matrices with 120/144hz are upwards of 35k, but more like 50k coz quality matters a lot at that point and the cheaper models seem to have backlight bleeding problems and dead pixels
I'm thinking about getting a 15k one in a couple years if I update this desktop to a better one with a new cpu
reading stuffs about hardware also, it seems like I should wait for the next gen of motherboard-cpu combos, and then there's gonna be new nvidia gpus at the end of the year
So it would do basically the same thing as Magic Leap, just without rendering an entire 3D space (so it would require much less processing. but only if this is actually viable)
@Hakase I'd assume they'd fire the laser at an angle and measure the angle of the reflection to figure out focal point (but that'd mean each headset would need to be calibrated individually)
@Hakase yeah. but I'm assuming (since they say "focus") what they actually do is determine what distance you're focusing at (and since you always have to focus at some distance it would always work)
one other problem I foresee is that the eye already doesn't see a lot of detail outside of the small cone at the center of where you're looking at, so blurring the surroundings even further is.. why?
I especially like large images where everything is very detailed, and so I can get these details with what is essentially "peripheral vision" when staring at a large image up close
if that tech blurs periphery even further, it's just gonna be another one of those "disable before playing" checkboxes in the graphics settings :p
like fuuuucking stupid motion blur
I already get motion blur thanks to my unstable 40fps so no thanks
@Gagantous the .exe i have is called "Universal Theme Patcher & Exploreframe" which contains those programs and a couple of .reg files called takeownership
don't ask me where i downloaded it from cause i can't remember
i see Fireworks as Photoshop Lite since both are owned by the same company and anything you can do in Fireworks you can do in Photoshop
though the one feature Fireworks doesn't have which i wished it did (in CS5 atleast) is how Photoshop when you do something it adds a filter overtop which you can turn off
ie. if you brighten and then sharpen, you can turn off the brightening without having to redo the sharpening and see how it would have looked
I have twelve volumes of Majin Tantei Neugami Neuro actually, it has 22-23 volume, but it should cover more than a half. It's really weird since the first tenth volume of this manga's cover is upside down like you could see in this site. What's the reason behind it ?
Looking for an anime that’s similar to those three animes. Has a great story, all the good stuff those ones have. However, Im looking for one that has romance as a big part of the story line. Naruto and fairy tail gets romantic towards the end, while one piece has little to no romance. So again g...
He died and was reincarnated as himself when he was younger. And his elder disciple tried to kill their master by cooking rice and putting poison in it. But since he knew this he followed him and offered him his rice but he wouldn’t eat it.
there can be some legit reasons such as - entering into deals/agreements which require the public stuff they control to be removed - they plan on selling them so remove the free copies they control - they quit
there is also a culture in japan about wanting to control the message which is why you see Nintendo act like assholes to gamers
